Hi Asianjoe30, thanks for the feedback, and for sharing how you feel about your experience with using the Pixel Buds A-Series. We’re sorry to hear you ran into these issues with quality, and with comfort and fit.

Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium ear tips and come with small and large ear tips, so you can switch to improve their fit. Ears are unique so the left ear may be different from the right. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. To swap ear tips, pull the attached ear tip off and press the different ear tip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap. Gently pull on the ear tip to ensure it's properly attached. Gently insert the earbud with the stabilizer arc tucking into their ear. After each earbud was inserted, slightly rotate it back and forth until it comfortably stays in place when you move your head or tap either earbud. Please see this visual guide on our help page: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/answer/7573099

We’re hoping you can tell us more about your concern with the quality of the Pixel Buds so we can learn how to help. If you’re willing to share additional information, or if further assistance about the comfort and fit is still required, let us know by contacting us here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

Hi Gbudsbuyer, thanks for posting a feedback and letting us know of your issues with the Pixel Buds A-Series. We’re sorry to learn that the battery life and reception isn’t what you expected.

Your A-Series are expected to have the following:
Earbuds: Up to 5 hours of listening time or up to 2.5 hours of talk time
Earbuds with charging case: Up to 24 hours of listening time with case, or up to 12 hours of talk time
15-minute charge of earbuds in the charging case delivers up to 3 hours of listening time or up to 1.5 hour of talk time

For best experience, we recommend fully charging the case to 100% as this will provide about 20 hours of usage time. So there's no need to keep charging it all the time.

Also, resetting your A-Series may be helpful with the performance issues you experience. Simply follow the steps below:
      - Plug the charging case into a power source using the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
      - Ensure your A-Series are seated within the charging case and leave the charging case open.
      - Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case for 30 seconds.
      - When the earbuds status light stops bouncing, let go of the pairing button.
      - The earbuds status light will blink white and orange until the reset is complete and then start bouncing white. Your A-Series will be reset and should be ready to pair immediately.

If the issues persist after trying the steps above, we’d like to have a closer look and find a way to help improve your experience here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

Hi Matthew, thanks for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your Google Pixel Buds A-Series kept falling off your ears.

To ensure you get a gentle but secure fit using the stabilizer arc for your A-Series, we recommend gently inserting your earbud, with the wingtip or stabilizer arc and tucking it into each ear, to provide a better fit. Then, slightly rotate it back and forth until it comfortably stays in place when you move your head or tap either earbud. Also, you may want to try out all 3 ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable tip, and ensure that you get the best ear tip seal and provide the best listening experience. Hi Techsteve, thanks for giving us a review about the Pixel Buds A-Series, and we’re sorry to hear of your issue with comfort and fit, that they fall out of your ear.

We recommend trying out all 3 ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable tip for you, and ensure that you get the best comfort and seal. Having a good seal will also provide the best audio performance for your A-Series. Lower Cost, Small ear option

I bought these in hopes of replacing my original Galaxy earbuds. When paired with the smallest ear pieces- these nest nicely into my ear. I have not worn them for extended periods of time. The quality is near identical to the Sony Link Buds S that I tested out as well. When making calls and receiving calls, the sound quality was near identical. The Pixel Buds were also easier to setup and pair with my phone. If you are looking for a good earbud at a lower cost, or a backup pair- these earbuds are worth it!

Very comfortable, great sound quality, and good battery life but the things I like about them end there. I've had these headphones paired to my pixel 5a for about 3 months now and I am constantly running into connection issues. On a weekly basis, my phone forgets the connection and I have to repair them. Also whenever I take them for a run, my music is interrupted by random disconnects. I really wish I could recommend the pixel buds but I suggest waiting until Google can resolve these basic issues in a newer version.

Hi John, it's great to hear that you find Pixel Buds A-Series very comfortable, and that you liked the sound quality and battery life. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused by the connection issues.

If you haven't tried yet, we recommend resetting A-Series may be helpful with the pairing issue. To reset, just follow the steps below:
      - Plug the charging case into a power source using the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
      - Ensure the Pixel Buds are seated within the charging case and leave the charging case open.
      - Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case for 30 seconds.
      - When the earbuds status light stops bouncing, let go of the pairing button.
      - The earbuds status light will blink white and orange until the reset is complete, and then start bouncing white. Your A-Series will be reset and should be ready to pair immediately.

If the issue remains, you may contact our support team so we can take a closer look at the issue. Our support channels are always open to assist you anytime here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

    Affordable with Premium Features

Overall, the pixel buds A are cheap, small enough to put in your pocket without being noticeable, and pack most of the features of higher end wireless buds. Sound: The sound signature is a bit flat and neutral. I enjoyed it but you can't expect studio quality sound. Design: The case is very small and comparable to air pods. It charges via USB C and comes with an included cable. The ear tips are silicone so they made my ear itch. I recommend getting foam tips. The fit didn't feel secure as the wingtip is very short but i failed to knock them off my head. They have water resistance rating and I did dunk them in water to test and they functioned as normal afterwards. Features: The pixel buds A has features that you would find in premium quality headphones including hands free changing the volume, bringing up the assistant, and a mode where you could tap and hold the ear bud so you can hear someone that is trying to talk to you without removing the ear bud. The only feature not available is active noise cancelation but the buds do a pretty good job at sealing off outside noise. Connectivity: I had no issues connecting with my Pixel 4. It connected automatically and displayed battery status of the buds. I highly recommend the pixel buds A for someone looking for a low budget pair of wireless earbuds with premium features. I would also look out for deals as that would make these a steal and obvious choice.

Nearly - but not quite - perfect wireless earbuds

The Google Pixel Buds A-Series are really close to being the perfect set of wireless earbuds, but don't quite check all the boxes for me. Sound quality wise, I found the sound to be really pleasing especially in mid range - these are great for audiobooks. The design of the buds is such that they have a really open soundstage for earbuds which lends itself well to acoustic and vocal performance. By default the EQ is pretty flat but there is a bass boost to provide some more oomph for music. The standout feature is the totally hands free Google Assistant - I have several bluetooth headsets and with each one you have to press a button to speak to the assistant or play messages (even another which has Google Assistant built in). With the Pixel Buds you just say the usual "Ok google" and they get to work reading notifications or answering questions. Other really cool features include the adaptive volume which raises the volume or lowers it depending on the environment, and the real time translation ability for various languages. The adaptive volume feature knocks about an hour off the battery life but is worth the hit in my opinion. Transitioning from my car to a noisy street and back to a quiet office is seamless/hands free with this feature on. The real time translation is really, really cool but also not quite good enough to be something I'd rely on for translation - although it did highlight just how good the Google translate app is when using the conversation mode. The only things which keep the Pixel Buds A Series from being perfect are the lack of total sound isolation (a blessing and a curse with the open sound stage) and the lack of active noise cancellation. If you need some earbuds that actually fully isolate you from a noisy environment, you will probably need to go up a fair amount in price, so that's not really worth taking a star off my review.

Very similar to the previous pixel earbuds. The voice quality seems to be better, battery life is slightly better and the earbuds are a bit lighter. Easy to use as usual and a lot of the nice features for less money. Very stylish and good fitting in the ear. The only downside (for some people) might be the lack of wireless charging. Slim case, good package. Fast charging and easy to use. Strongly recommended.
