THE BREAKDOWN: The packaging was very well done and like opening high end merchandise. In the box was everything needed to get this product up and running. The setup was very easy and I was up and running in just a matter of seconds. It is powered by a 1 AAA battery and I have read nothing where the battery life was rated. This stylus was made to work with the Google Pixel Slate and I could not get it to work with other devices. Once the batter was in it was instantly connected and I did not notice any lag. I felt that it was very responsive and worked very well. One thing that I noticed is that the pen did not react to different pressure levels. This stylus has a high end premium feel to it. It is made of aluminum but feels very solid. One thing that is missing is a storage spot. There is no loop or compartment that I found to put it in. I did however find a magnet place on the cover that it sticks to. PRO’s: -Very well built and stylish -Setup was quick and easy -Made of Aluminum and gives it a lightweight feel -AAA battery included CON’s: -Stylus pressure levels did not work -No storage spot or loop to keep it SUMMARY: Overall, I feel that this product is really good and has a great fit and finish. I do wish it had a storage spot. I think you could do without this one but I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for something like this.

Thought I wouldn't need the pen at all. I got it bundled with my slate. I use it regularly to sign docs for work and it's smooth on the glass.

The Pixelbook pen comes in a sturdy nice package and comes with a AAAA battery to use. Once you put the battery in, the pen automatically pairs with your Slate or Pixelbook. The Pixelbook pen works very well with the Pixel Slate and can be used for a wide range of tasks. The Slate has a “Stylus tools” menu that can be used to select between the following tasks; Capture region, Capture screen, Create note, Assistant, Laser Pointer and Magnifying Glass. So-far I’ve gotten the most use out of using it to capture my screen and general navigation. Being able to circle words and images on your screen, for a quick Google search, is a really cool feature but I honestly don’t use it that often. The width of the pen is a little larger than I would like and the sides are smooth, making it easy to slip out of your hand. I wish they would have made it a little thinner with some more grip. I also wish the pen came with a way to attach it to the Slate or Pixelbook, it doesn’t really have anywhere to live. For the most part, I really do like the pen and am happy to have it but I don’t think it’s really needed unless you plan to do a lot of drawing or other tasks where it would come in handy.

If you want to take your Pixel Slate to an extra level, this will be the last add on you need a side from the Google Keyboard. Once you place the battery in this pen it is ready to use. It is very accurate when taking notes and also work like a touch pen to control your screen. This pen is not meant for the average person, this pen is intended for very specific users. The reason I say that is because if you’re not a writer, a person who takes a lot of notes or an artist who likes to draw, this if not for you. There are few downsides of this Pixel pen, one there’s no rechargeable battery, it comes with a AAAA battery that I didn’t know existed and heavy use will incur in battery spending. Second there is no place to store the pen on the Pixel Slate but the back of the Google keyboard which is very awkward place to put it, and you need to own the Keyboard. Not like the Google Keyboard this is not a must have, but it is available for those who need it. The pen is easy to hold, feels good in the hand, it is very accurate and works seamlessly with your Slate device and Google products, but other than that, I would not find any other use but to sign documents, that is just me.

The stylus has a premium feel that matches the Pixel Slate. It is made from aluminum and feels very solid. There is nowhere to store it in the tablet so be very careful when traveling. Think of how easy pens are to misplace and how many you have lost in your lifetime. ---WHO THIS IS FOR--- This stylus can take the place of a touch pad or mouse, but what it excels at is writing and drawing. If you are artistic or like to electronically write, then I highly recommend the investment, It makes drawing and writing on your Google Pixel Slate very easy and natural.

Nice little extra for your tablet. I haven't used it often but it is useful for note taking, sketching and drawing

I've been very happy with the Pixel Slate pen for taking notes. I use it for my college classes and it's very convenient.

Very light, easy to use, accurate and precise. Does take a AAAA battery so it's a little uncommon but nothing hard to find.

Very heavy duty and shipped super fast. Bought it as a gift to go with my husband's chromebook and he loves it.

Nice to have, do not expect features similar to Apple's pen. This is good for the intermediary users.

This pen, used with the Google Pixel Slate, makes sketching or quick notes seamless, pending on what app is being used. Overall I like the feel of the pen, but I have small hands (think kids lg gloves size) and found the pen to be slightly larger than I'd prefer, both in thickness and weight. My husband thinks its wonderful and said it's the same weight as some of his pens, so for this one, five stars is in the eye of the beholder. The pen is battery powered (1 x AAAA), and has the Google Assistant button which is a nice feature, but still needs a bit of dev work to perform seamlessly and return applicable results. The only other downside is storage, I'm one who will lose items quickly, so for me, I've misplaced this pen twice already. I would like it to have a pen clip, or an attachment to hold it to the Slate cover. Overall it's a fun gadget, not sure I will use it a ton, but nice to have it on the rare occasion.

Bought this with a keyboard together and they looked nice for each other.

Great pen for the tablet, a bit overpriced by itself but great if it comes with it.

Great product but I wish they would have put more functionality on the pen button.
