refurbished - works as expected

I've been using the device for approximately six weeks on two TVs and I have yet to experience any issues. I use one of my Chromebooks as the primary interface. I especially like the fact that I don't have to load the YouTube app on my TVs and perform the cumbersome steps required to "pair" my Chromebooks with each TV.

great for streaming video

We can also watch our family videos without any problems so it is great to view during family gatherings. I have recommended it to several of my family and friends.

Great streaming device

But it was in the original box with all components. So without the label, I could not tell that this is refurbished one or not. Connected to my large size TV in the living room, and I could watch the streaming internet program. Love this. I do not know what the new chromecast would have as new features, but this one is quite sufficient for the most streaming watch.
