Like some of hero 4 options better but good camera

#1 this is an action camera and for what I need it to be I really like it. On the other hand I use more expensive gear to record video and audio for The Ministry Podcast and in comparison to that gear GoPro does not come close. This is my first GoPro, but I'm learning the ropes. The screen is great for framing the shot and playback plus you are able to save and highlight moments within videos Durability, I've dropped it multiple times from above waist height onto hard floors and it lives in the bottom of a backpack The App support and wireless remote function with your phone are great Cons Battery like in all other GoPros is underwhelming Video compression is not ideal and you have to process then export it from their software to get decent footage Audio is poor because the mic is in the back of the camera so background noise is twice as loud If you want to have a secure mount you have to buy one. the ones they provide are only adhesive If you want external power to prolong battery life you are forced to leave the camera exposed to the weather and unsealed I edited some footage from this GoPro that you can find it at http://marcoechartea.com or here https://youtu.be/dJyda6NV4HI

Defective memory card lost videos from our vacation

If you have never used a go pro before this is a great start. It's easy but the issue is it constantly shut off when originally starting it off. It would take 3 times of it restarting itself to actually work. Besides that it was easy to use.

I purchased this GoPro as a gift and the recipient has not put it down since! He loves the built in WiFi that allows easy uploads to his phone as well as being able to bluetooth his phone as a remote. This is a great buy for a great price.

My only real issue with this product is that were sold an SD card by a Best Buy employee that didn't meet the requirements on the capacity for this gopro. Needless to say it created issues. Its a versatile product that can be temperamental.

I ended up upgrading the GoPro to the silver edition. The LCD camera was discontinued and does not support playing HDMI to a TV. Also, the battery does not remove from the LCD like the silver GoPro does.

My grandson is extremely excited with his birthday gift. Used it in the community pool and had a blast with it. I will be buying one for his brother for his birthday.

I bought this as a replacement for my hero 3 that was stolen. I liked the concept of the built in LCD screen and built in battery. First time I used it in a helicopter it over heated and quit working. Second time I was diving and again it quit working. Needless to say as soon as I get home I will be returning this and upgrading to the hero 4. In my opinion spend the few extra bucks and buy the full model.

I bought this as a gift but unfortunately it didn't work. When they used it, it would only work for 30-40 minutes and the battery would run out. It would overheat and say it was busy? Then it wouldn't read the 32 gb memory card? Had to buy a 16 gb then it read it. With the new iPhone 7, I wouldn't purchase this again. Maybe I just got a defected one? Sorry don't like to leave bad reviews.

We bought this GoPro to take on our honeymoon after my husbands deployment. Once we got there we were sad to find out that it only worked intermittently. For some reason, the camera would shut itself off in the middle or not turn on at all. When it did work(rarely) the footage was great quality! When we went to return it we were told we'd have to pay the extra $150 to upgrade to the newer one because they could not refund or exchange this particular model.

This unit with the lcd makes it easy to make quick changes and not have to go through the phone app. Nice battery life and built in water proof housing with no fogging. Love it!

I love using this camera for diving, the screen is really nice to actually see what i am taking a picture of and for the price you can't beat the quality for a dive camera.

I wanred a GoPro camera to use for shooting damage on roofs. It was good, but there is no zoom, and uploading pics and video is a pain.

Took this camera to Burning Man and it definitely survived the intense conditions! However, the lens is so small, pictures need to be taken at an incredibly close distance

This product was the perfect gift. My spouse wanted a video camera and ended up w a GoPro. She absolutely loves it and can't wait to take it on her next adventure.
