There’s quite a learning curve for a first time user. Luckily, I have friends that are knowledgeable. The unit does heat up easily. Most of my videos are short and used for content generation. I know that my phone can take videos but transferring from my phone to my desktop for editing took some extra steps. Overall the quality of the video is pretty great, even at non-4K res. Sound is decent but I found using the microphone cover mutes the sound a little. It’s an overkill for the purpose of my use but I have an action cam if I ever need it.

Loved the portability and various options this latest GoPro device has. This particular package came with everything you would need to record your adventures. A microphone built into the casing, battery pack and controller, and a handly light. While at first glance it seemed difficult to figure out, the detailed & illustrated instructions made it easy for a quck start. I'd highly recommend a memory card that is supported for this device that can handle big media and has fast write and download speeds

This is exactly what I needed.Especially for when I travel and want a catalogue all the places i've saw. The battery life on this edition is phenomenal. Couldn't ask for anything better when it comes to gopro. If you don't have one, you better get it, If not you're gonna regret it.

The GoPro itself is wonderful. It's the standard action camera for a reason. This particular item comes with some nice extras. The additional battery hookup is the main plus I found, and the external microphone is good. I don't think I'll use the light much because it isn't bright enough for my purposes... But that's what I expected from a light so small so it's no real disappointment to me.

I bought this as an open-box item and have been happy with it so far! The volta handle makes it a great, long-running, vlogging/video camera, and the quality of the images has been great. I didn't quite like the mic in the media mod but using an external mini mic has helped a lot.

BEST GOPRO I HAVE EVER OWNED THE 12 DOES EVERYTHING FROM UNERWATER PICTURES TO VIDEO. ON LAND OR SEA. DOWN LOAD APP. AND DOWNLOADING PICTURES AND VIDEO IN A SNAP. WOULD DEFFINETLY GIVE THIS A 10 OUT OF 10 FOR ALL ASPECTS OF FUNCTIONS THAT THIS CAN DO.

The GoPro Hero12 is taking our Youtube channel to the next level. The battery life is unbelievable. We never had to change the battery for entire day of filming and had plenty to spare. Got it for wife birthday gift and it’s absolutely amazing. It bacame our go to for family trips and has caused us to even start a YouTube channel. Reliable, great quality.

Bought this for my son and he can't put it down. Its super user friendly and the quality of this camara is impressive. A bit in the expensive side but I can see the reasons.

Amazing camera and super easy to use! I use it for fishing, surfing, and even strap it to my dog while hiking for amazing POV hiking. The package is great for doing some basic film making and needing audio without an external mic.

Very great quality video, especially for the wide angle is what I needed it for, the problem is that it overheats, I was aware of the overheating problems from other people who have purchased the older models in the past but I still decided to give it a shot on the newest version and sadly it overheated multiple times in cold temperatures so I returned it and stuck with my iPhone to get the job done hope they improve the overheating problem with future products.

If you are not planning an active extreme shooting, you'd better use an Iphone. But for the rest - it's GoPro, guys. Rugged and strong. Enduro battery drains a little faster, but it's ok if you are filming a 4K and higher. Definitely, five stars!

Bought this so we could make home videos with our new baby boy like our parents did with those old video recorders. I’m able to capture every moment. The video is great quality and the device itself is simple to use.
