After researching expensive gimbals for my DSLR camera to stabilize walking vlogs and sweeping B-roll footage HERO released the HERO Black 7. I was actually ordering a gimbal when I discovered the 7. A digital stabilizer better than a gimbal? I didn't think it possible. After watching YouTube videos from mountain trail bikers who must deal with arguably the roughest shooting environment I was encouraged that a mild walking video would be no problem. For the cost of a gimbal I was getting a new 4K camera with wide angle lens settings to boot. I still use my DSLR to cover telephoto and zoom shots but for core walking vlog the 7 is ideal. Small, lightweight and wide angle view it checks off many requirements for vlogging. Bonus unexpected feature is built livestreaming to your smartphone which is becoming a big part of the vlogging experience.

Easy to use, great picture. The quality and ease of use are great. I was looking for a compact and durable camera that I could take anywhere. The hand grip/tripod makes it very easy to use. The LCD screen is great.

This camera is great. So easy to use and quick to upload to your phone. We took it on our honeymoon and used it as our primary camera for pictures and video. Loved every bit of it. The stabilization on the camera is great!!

I purchased this camera for capturing my vacation and it did not disappoint. The image stabilization is amazing. I clamped it onto the front of a side x side ATV that was bouncing and moving a lot and the video appears like the camera was floating above it. Picture clarity was awesome as well. Battery life was only about an hour if you leave the blue tooth turned on though. I'll be turning it off the next time out. I'm sure it will be much better! Over all, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

This was my first GoPro camera, after a little time getting the setting correct this has been a very fun camera to use. Bought this to video my motorcycle rides and trips. Have done a bunch of videos so far and every video has been very high quality and the stabilization works great. Since this was my first GoPro it took me a little bit longer to get the hang of all the features and how to use them. Now have it dialed in pretty good and enjoy the great video quality this little camera can deliver. I would recomend this camera to anyone. I am still getting use to all the features and still learning the video software from GoPro. Was very pleased with how stabil the video is even when riding on a motorcycle. No regrets buying and feel it was worth the price.

Amazing video. Way better than my first Gen one. The hyper smooth stabilization works great. Only bad thing is battery life, but the batteries are so cheap, grab a cpl extra and you are god to go

Have used it during my snowboarding trips, battery definitely dies faster in the cold, BUT I still would not trade it for anything. Quality is amazing, really easy to function after you learn the product.

I purchased this camera because my hero 4 suddenly stopped working. I would give 5 stars but since my previous camera messed up after a year, I can’t do that. Great camera for those who like to document adventures, especially underwater. Love that it doesn’t need a case to be waterproof.

Really nice action camera that can be very versatile. Shoots 4K footage, good stabilization, waterproof, and can used with many accessories. The color isn’t exactly white but closer to a very light grey

Bought this camera in a whim for a Grand Canyon vacation. So glad we did. Simple to use. Small and light to carry. Beautiful still photos and fun to use for short videos during an ATV ride.

This camera is very easy to use. Loved using the camera for a recent trip to the keys. Took great underwater shots for n Looe key reef. It’s nice not having to use a different housing when shooting underwater. Bought the accessories to clamp on the boat to capture action fishing video. Paired it with my iPad to download video using the go pro app. It does that wirelessly. Good quality video.

My 11 year old bought this for their birthday and hasn't put it down. It is fairly easy to use and has good picture and video quality. So far, the battery life is spot on, but the camera does get a little warm if its used for the full battery use. Overall it's a win!

Great video quality. Good stabilization while active. The voice activation features are super handy. Only complaint is the inability zoom while shooting video. The camera is actually smaller than I expected. Took a little getting used to tapping just right on the screen.

This GoPro is far easier to use than previous versions. stabilization is a nice added feature, but limited in its ability. Pictures and videos are easy to download to your computer.

The GoPro 7 is my new go to vlogging camera. Out of the box I charged it and decided to start recording some test footage. On default settings with the wrong type of as card the camera got real hot and shut down after filming in 4K 30fps after 50mins. Turns out I had made a bunch of mistakes like having a bright screen, gps on, voice activation on and WiFi on. These are all battery drainers. Turn them off in the settings. Otherwise the footage is fantastic and wide and super wide are great for vlogging. The audio on my camera is sufficient and better than most other cams. The stabilization is next level and excellent when running or riding a bike. I would recommend but be patient and learn how to use the device.

This live streaming action camera is excellent! It is very easy to use, lightweight, compact and easy to take with you anywhere!! And it takes great pictures!!

This go pro is SUPERB. I upgraded from a sessions, and having the touch screen display in the back is supper convenient. I was persuaded by the story person to get the white as it is a limited production, I don't particularly mind the color, but have found it super helpful so I can spot the camera among my luggage or back of tech when traveling. The size is good, a little on the heavy side but totally worth on definition. The battery life is OK, so make sure to have more than one battery pack ready, in case of long adventure. I have found that a time lapse on a bike ride more than 30 miles works well, but a regular video, need more battery.

So I've been wanting a GoPro for a long time but hadn't pulled the trigger until I saw this on sale with a free memory card. It takes some phenomenal video. Super smooth and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. Would I like the battery to last longer, sure. However, I understand that based on the size of the battery and the amount of stuff going on in such a small package that you're not going to get the world's longest battery life. Thankfully, extra batteries aren't super expensive. Additionally, while this has some features I don't need (Facebook live capability), I don't feel like I was overcharged for what I was getting. Give it a shot!

I never understood all the fuss over the GoPro Hero 7 Black till I got one. The features on this Hero 7 are just incredible, the ease of use overall and the reliability really make this one stand apart from the others. Not to mention the discounts from GoPro on accessories when you register your camera and use the GoPro app. I'm truly blown away at the latest Hero 7 and I love using it. The team at GoPro stand behind their products and offer so much more than just an action cam. It is a unique experience all around and I 100% recommend the GoPro line. Thanks Bestbuy for making the Hero 7 Black affordable!

I love the crisp 4k video capture. Upon unpacking, 60fps was not available for 4k filming but once firmware was updated, 4k 60fps was unlocked and bam! Was able to use it for slo-mo editing. The stabilization is very good for some action. Took it to the indoor gokart track and mounted on my helmet. It did ok with the stabilization but would have been worse without stabilization. I'll just smooth it out more with my video editing program. Other than that this is all I have for the GoPro Hero 7 black edition. Looking forward to use it more. Also I recommend using Class 10 U3 micro SD cards for 4k capture and getting extra batteries.
