    As a long-time GoPro user, and learned to never leave without at least one extra battery. Nothing worse then getting on the trail and finding out you forgot to charge one battery, or that you run out of battery before an awesome section of the bike trail. I’ve also found the the Hero 8 eats up battery during time lapses, so this really came in handy.

    This is kind of a neutral review of a product. On the one hand, these batteries are affordable and work well in the appropriate GoPro camera. On the other hand, these batteries have a tendency to swell with use and recharging and must be regularly replaced. That is coupled with GoPro’s maddening practice of changing batteries with nearly every new model of camera. The bottom line…GoPros are great video acquisition tools and having affordable batteries is a plus. However, you have to be aware that you will be replacing the batteries throughout the lifetime of your camera…and if you upgrade your cameras you’ll. Have quite a collection of batteries. It’s a real plus that Best Buy can get them to you quickly and efficiently when you need them.
