unless your under water or doing extreme activities and sports, this frame mount is the best for casual shots! I use it on a Hero 3 and its very versitile when I place on the extended battery pack or the peripheral touch screen without having to remove or switch casings. The frame allows the best sound to be captured by the camera and allows good access to external ports. Only downside is the less protection but as i said, this is for casual shots.

Must have accessory. I use it more than any others. Allows good audio and accommodates the video back. Lens cover a + and stays on good. Very pricey for the little material. You can get a deep dive housing for about the same price. I got a similar inexpensive frame online but it doesn't work with the video back.

The Frame is much better for sound. Fits really well around the camera and still keeps it secure.

This is a great slim mount that is both lightweight and easy t o use. Great for everyday use.

I used it the same morning it was purchased. I was recording a speech/ceremony and didn't want the mics enclosed in the waterproof case to reduce the audio level. The Frame fit the bill and will probably be my go to frame for non sports related filming.

The frame mount from GoPro is awesome, it keeps your camera cool because it allows the camera to actually have some air! The frame comes with a protective lens that you install on the GoPro, this will keep the actual lens safe! Make sure you don't put the camera in the water while inside this case!

The frame is perfect for shooting anytime you don't expect to be around water. Sound quality is so much better without the waterproof housing. The frame can also be mounted to any of the GoPro mounts. Definitely worth the investment.

I sure like the new GoPro - The Frame Mount. Since this is mounted in a vehicle, the camera does not get as hot like it did in the waterproof case. However this is not for rugged use, that would be the job for your waterproof case.

This product is very useful and handy. When I applied it to my gopro it made it easy to set up because i can finally use the touch screen instead of spending time clicking when my gopro is in the waterproof housing. Also not to mention it has a lense proctector and its a very smart idea.

I thought the audio through the water proof housing was decent, but when you out this bad boy on your gopro, it's like hooking up a professional mic! I was blown away at how good the internal mic works. Being a musician and using this to catch live footage, the frame is always on my camera!

I got this so I could install filters on the front of my GoPro. It lets me do just that. Snug fit for the GoPro and lightweight. Basic device that gets the job done.

This mount is used in conjunction with the suction cup mount to move the camer from outside my jeep to inside. having it inside I don't have to worry about it getting wet or muddy, and I can run it off the vehicle's power as opposed to batteries if need-be. Better audio too!

I have the waterproof case for my GoPro Hero 3, but wanted to be able to mount the camera in my vehicle without having to open and close the waterproof case. The frame works perfectly, is sturdy, simple to use and I can place the camera into it with one hand.

When the camera is mounted to my roll cage in my car with the original case it comes with you cannot here anything but a pinging noise, but with the Frame mount i do not get the pinging noise and it allows the camera to record the engine sound and other sounds.

This is a great case if you are in a dry environment. It allows for better sounds capturing due to the fact that it does not cover the mic. It comes with a lens cover to protect from the environment. I am very happy with this purchase!

Great accessory! Easy to set up, light weight and mounts easy!

You need this frame in your collection of accesories. Allows the built-in mic to pick up the audio without distortion. Downside is that it's vulnerable when it's not holding the GoPro. I'm already on second frame in 2 years because I was not as careful with the first.

This little frame surpasses the quality of any other case specially when picking up sound. This case totally eliminates the muffle sound of the water case picking up crispy clear audio straight from the the camera microphone.

Cool simple name for a cool simple frame. Definitely no waterproof protection for the GoPro, but a cool little case to have when used lightly. Great product, over priced, so make sure you price match it, then its a great buy.
