Opened the box, charged the device tried to turn it on and it doesn't power on tried many different scenarios thinking maybe I was not following the instructions correctly but it just doesn't work.

I should have spent the extra $20 for the remote with the screen.

I spent time reading all of the reviews on this product and within the past few weeks, many people returned theirs due to a malfunction/no power. I figured, "this won't happen to me". It did!!! I returned it the next day.

Mine did not work. I traded it in and the second one didnt work. I contacted GoPro and I am still waiting for a replacement. They are replacing it with the smart remote and not the Remo

Do not purchase, do not consider at all!!! Does not work, I tried twice and both were worthless! Does not work at all! I returned both and bought the other remote.

I can get the dang thing to turn on. sent the first one back, and now on second...about to just give up.

The vibration to notify when activated is too difficult to detect. It is not very responsive and not user friendly

I love GoPro products but this one in particular never even turned on. I would not recommend this item

never worked right gave up in it. Good idea but never worked

My Remo is DOA and will not charge or turn on. GoPro said I have to return it to the store, and there is a 7 day warranty.

I took it out of the package, plugged it in to charged and the light wouldn't stay lit. I then tried to sync it with my GoPro6 and it didn't work. Unfortunately, I read this same issue from many other people and decided to buy it because I thought, "that can't happen to me". Well, it did and now i need to go back and return it. First time I had an issue with a purchase from Best Buy.

Google "remo battery not charging" before you buy. It has a terrible design issue that prevents it from charging if the battery ever dies, which it will if you don't use it for a while. One blink of the red LED, then nothing. It's no longer sold, which means anything you buy now will be old stock that's been sitting on a shelf, and likely has a drained battery and will be dead on arrival. Save your hard-earned cash, unless you want to risk buying a dead Lego-size brick.

Purchased a hero 5 for family trips - used it 1 time on a skiing trip and it was difficult / inconsistent. Read the instructions cover to cover but was quirky. Pulled it out for yet another ski trip and IT WILL NOT CHARGE. TRIED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF. CONSULTED INTERNET - NO LUCK. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!

3 remotes from 3 different locations and all were DOA. Would not turn on, charge or anything. Hard to find from a legit store, although it does say something when GoPro does not even carry it or show it on their own website. Guess I will have to get the other bigger, clunkier version that does not have voice control.
