It's not the heavy duty harmonica but it's a lot better than the one you get from a $ store. It's not all plastic, the black middle part is plastic, the outer shiny part is metal. It's plays good too, like a real Jr. Harmonica. My son loves it.

I bought this as a gift for my son who likes instruments like violin, flute and so on. This is not a toy and worked well for him. He know re create same music on harmonica , flute and recorder.

The harmonica is easy to play, the instructions are basic, making it simple to learn easy songs. I bought two, one for myself and one for a gift.For the price, I couldn't pass it up!
