great game with improved graphics and added online mode! the online mode is pretty much the only variation in the game although story mode is greatly improved with the enhanced graphics! If you already own GTA 3 and dont have access to internet play then you may want to reconsider buying this game unless you just want improved graphics.

This game has a good storyline with a lot of fun missions. The online gameplay is fun because of all the different mini games you can play. Plus the overall freedom that you have with the large city Liberty City. The only thing that could have been better is the graphics but it didnt take anything away from the game overall.

It is a very enjoyable game, now that the multi-player update is available it has a new depth for a GTA title. Endless replay value, you can always be entertained just driving around blowing things up... If you havent played one of these games b4 now is the time. Just wish they put the parachute and airplanes in this one.

Only reason I bought my ps3 is this game. Has a really great story to it and as you go on with the game you do decisions that will change the end of the game. I wish it had planes but whatever. There is so much to this game not just missions there so much more you can do like side jobs hanging out with friends etc..

Story - The Story in GTA IV is a bit deeper than most of the other GTA games that have appeared on home consoles over the past few years. Rockstar decided to put more of an emphasis on the main character's feelings and overall depth of the story. This results in a more enjoyable experience and more of an attachment to the characters than in previous titles like GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. The story follows the journey of Niko Bellic, an immigrant from Eastern Europe who has come to Liberty City to make a fresh start and find some answers. Niko quickly becomes forced into a gun for hire role in order to make ends meet and keep his cousin Roman out of trouble with Russian gangsters, requiring you to do the usual kill him/her, go steal this missions that are essential to every GTA experience. As always there are plenty of twists and turns in the story to keep you intrigued and coming back for more and the game certainly isn't lacking interesting characters to keep the story going. All in all the story is one that is unrivaled in the GTA series, and while it won't stand up to the more story driven games on the market as anything special in this department it certainly does well in it's own rights.

The graphics are amazing and the driving experience is better than any game ever. It's so much fun causing chaos and running people over in your car and running from the cops! The missions are pretty easy with the exception of a few which are very difficult and long. Overall, it's a must have.

Overall I think GTA4 is mostly a good game the only reason I give it a 5 star rating is for the story mode. Other than that the graphics are a "been there done that" kinda feel to them. They don't really ever push the PS3 to it's limits like COD4 or GT5 prologue does. The dualshock 3 makes this game that much more interesting. DS3 adds something missing from most games depth and a sense of being there. I love the minimal load screens (you can goto any building thats interactive and just walk into or out of it) The mission load screens are unadvoidable. Just a little side note: this game takes a HUGE chunk of HDD space (5 gigs) so have little to nothing on the HDD before installing gta4. The helicopter flying leaves something to be desired such as a joystick accessory for the ps3 (you know just like a pc one) It is really hard to fly one of those things. The sixaxis controls are goofy and might as well be turned off. I was mostly let down with the graphics more than anything.

Well hey Im sure many of you all know this game was going to be a masterpiece with all the hype built up around it. Let me tell you Im impressed, beautiful graphics, so many areas of the game to play, soo many missions you can never get bored, enticing story line to it as well

This GTA game has better vehicle controls great story fantactic voice acting and very good controls. The hide and fire from cover needs a little work but not bad for a first try. over all if you are A GTA fan this game is a must have and the absolute best all round in its line.

Well not much has changed since the original other then it looks a lot nicer. But same goes for the Madden series. It does just enough to be different from the last one. Good solid gameplay and great presentation. Really liked the voice acting. Just wish it would bring something new to the series.

GTA 4 is just a spectular game. Its so realstic. Just so detailed. I have had GTA 4 since the first day it came out and I am not dissapointd. It has more realstic shooting. A more realstic city. GTA 4 wasy my 4 ps3 game and I just can not complain.

While It is true that the Xbox 360 version does have Downloadable Content on the way next year the game itself is what you need to grab no matter what system. The pros of the 360 version is the downloadable content but thats about it depending on your taste. The Playstation 3 version has softer colors making it seem more realistic while the 360 version has brighter colors making it seem a little like previous GTA's with the comic book look. in addition the Playstations version of Liberty City where the game is set is more alive than the 360's it has more people, cars and more lifelike reflections than it's 360's counter part. This comes from the Playstation 3's outstanding core processor being able to do all these things at the same time without slowing how the game looks. It all depends on your taste and how you want your GTA IV to feel.

The reason 360 has "downloadable content" is the entire reason the game was delayed and truly one of the reasons blu-ray won the format war. Everyone knows that Blu-ray discs can hold massive amounts of data while hd-dvd's are very limited in the amount of data that they could hold. 360 owners think they are getting something that others arent getting, but in reality, all they are really downloading is the remainder of the game that the developers couldn't fit on the hd-dvd. The real reason the game was delayed had NOTHING to do with development, both versions were completed almost a year ago, the delay was with how to fit it on the hd-dvd's limited space. So, in order to get the game top us, they had to compromise, they gave 360 owners what they could on the disk, then released the remainder as "downloadable content". PS3 is the FUTURE! trade up now you 360 fanboys while you still can...

Great game, have allways enjoyed it. With the PS3 graphics should be alot more entertaining with more crash and bash details. Online play should be interesting cant wait to try that out. Its going to be mayhem. I lov it.

Incredibly fun, entertaining, and fulfilling. I recommend for any previous GTA fan, or even first time players. Refurbished and upgraded in comparison to previous games, GTA 4 will keep you hooked for hours on end.

I have played every single GTA titles made and, besides the PC top scrollers, this has to be my least favorite. I could play Vice City and San Andreas until my fingers were black and blue, but I didnt feel as strongly about this game. The fact that our character is Russian is cool and different, but his accent is completely hard to understand as well as most of his family and the jamaicans. Subtitles are A MUST in this game, otherwise you might honestly miss something that you need to do. The map is gynormous which makes for fun driving experience as always. The realism has stepped up a notch as well. Making you choose your path is also a new addition which was kinda cool. Kill or dont kill, now YOU get to decide! Overall the game was good, nothing too exciting. If you love GTA like I do you have to play it atleast once.

great game over all a must if you own a ps3 has great graphics only wish they had parachutes like san andreas so you skydive the controls take time to get use to worth every penny

I've always been a huge fan of the Grand Theft Auto series. This one surpasses my expectations. The graphics are great. The online multiplayer mode is amazing. Trust me go get it!
