Great cinematography and visuals, this movie is eye candy for your Hi-Def screen. The story line is a little thin, leaving the ending of the movie predictable. Otherwise a good mindless form of entertainment.

The simulated space activity and acting were excellent, and I was very impressed with how realistic it looked, but it was wasted on a story that was meaningless to me. As a Star Trek fan, I'm willing to give SciFi movies a lot of latitude in credibility, but this one goes too far. I didn't turn it off, but I considered that several times. I guess there was supposed to be symbolism in the story, but it escaped me. If you like symbolism, maybe this movie would appeal to you. Either way, the excellent acting and special effects were worth something.

I can see why they won so many visual wards at the Oscars. I wasn't too captivated by the story though. Don't get me wrong. It's a good story. Maybe it was overhyped for me and I expected more from it.

The movie itself was boring in my opinion, but it was like eye candy on my Samsung ES7100. I do not think that this was a must see movie unless you have a higher end tv to view the special effects on.

The movie itself.. eh.. was ok. I like sandra not crazy about clooney tho. I guess I really didn't know what to expect, but have to admit for all the ravings,it fell short on my list of fav movies.

I like Sandra Bullock and she was good in this movie. The plot was predictable and the 3D was ok. 3D belongs in theaters to enjoy the experience or may its just me.

I bought this because I have a 3d television and this came highly recommended because of the graphics I haven't watched yet but looking forward to it and who doesn't love Sandra Bullock anyway

I expected better from a George Clooney Sandra Bullock movie but it turns out it was mostly a Sandra Bullock movie. Special effects were good, but the rest of the story was not really believable.

Like I said the visuals were outstanding but it reminded me of the movie Castaway , I see it once then it will sit on the shelf for 5 or 6 years and then pop it back in to watch it once more.

3 star... All space encounter and everything was just a plain not so action packed movie... Everything focuses only on two people and again a 3 star will do unless you enjoy watching space...

Sandra Bullock usually makes good films. This one seemed to be more about creating the illusion of what it would be like to have a disaster in space then any real movie plot. Boring.

I watched this movie from start to finish the special effects were great, the views from space spectacular, however it just did not hold my attention and the ending still disappoints me.

average at best very poor way to start a movie and really did not have a storyline. The acting was OK but as a whole a not very good movie. I would nor recommend anyone buy this movie.

I don't think this was Sandra's best work. And, certainly not Oscar worthy. It was a stretch for her to be in a role where she didn't interact with anyone but her own mind. A bit dull.

I was hoping this movie would keep me holding my breath 'till the end. Instead, I saw a string of predictable catastrophic disasters in space followed by a yeah right conclusion.

I am a Sandra Bullock fan but I would say this is an average movie for her, she has done worse but definitely done better. The picture and special effects were very good though.

I guess I had high expectation after hearing much of the buzz. It was ok, nothing to watch again. If you have seen one space movie, you have seen them all.

Out of the frying pan into the fire in outer space. Too many improbabilities even in a sci-fi thriller. Just didn't work for me, even with two of my favorite actors.

This movie challenges you to think in 3D as in movement across space. Teaches viewers the reality of space junk and the importance of interstellar ecology...
