I bought the USB Cable with Outlet Charger to use when traveling. It took up very little space and was perfect for recharging my I-phone when needed. However, the 4 ft cord is curled quite tightly and I needed to be careful where I set the phone so it was able to lay flat on a surface.

Wanted a cord to pair with an auto application and this one will do ok. I expected it to be more like a telephone handset and instead it is more like a rubber hose. It still works ok, just not as convenient as expected

Have tried other vendors on this item and this is of excellent quality and continues to function. Should have been another foot longer. Just a little to short for my needs.

I really like the durability of this product... Just wish the tight wound coils ( which make it durable ) were about 2 feet longer !!!

So far haven't had any problems with this charger. Charges my iPhone fast and seems durable unlike other cheap iPhone chargers that would have broken by now. The only thing is the cable is so stiff I'm a little scared to stretch it because I don't want to cause it to break. When I first saw It I thought hmm this charger looks very stretchable. Not really. Other than that it's pretty standard and gets the job done.

Ordered this charging cable for the car because my old ones kept fraying at the connector. The coiled style keeps the stress off the connectors and never had any problem with this one fraying. Only problem is that it is 4' - but only if stretched straight, however, the coiled design is coiled tightly and so you actually only have about 2' unless you put tension on the cord to straighten it out. Good cord, but only for very short distances.

Solid cord but not 4 feet

This is a ruggedly built cord. The coiled part has heavy rubber covering and the connectors seem really good. I think, however, that the first time you actually stretch it to 4 feet will be the last in that I doubt it will coil back up to it's original size. I'm also not sure how the lightning and USB connectors will deal with the stress that would be placed on them stretching it to 4 feet. For my intended use, however, it's great.

I bought this cord hoping that its thickness would prevent my cat from chewing through it and ruining another charger. To that end, it has worked well. The only issue I had was that the coils weren't as stretchy as I hoped. I was hoping it would be like a corded telephone from the 90s, but it didn't stretch much. As a result, it barely stretches from the floor (where my charger is plugged in) to my night table.

    Excellent Cord

The best thing about the cord is how stretchy it is. That is sometimes also the worst thing. My vehicle charging port(cigarette lighter) is at the bottom of the console in front of the gear shifter. The storage space is much higher. I have to stretch the cord for it to reach the phone. This sometimes causes the phone to be pulled from the space.

The cable is a little short because it's coiled, so you need to keep your phone/iPad pretty close the the outlet when charging. But it's super heavy compared to a regular lightning cable so I don't think this one will have usual breaking at the plug problem.

It works great to charge my phone in my truck. I don't know if it'd stretch to 4' before its unplug from the charger as the coils are pretty tight but I also didn't want a longer or stubby cable so the compressed length is good. So far it seems fairly durable.

Geek Squad member gave inaccurate and poor advice. They assured me that this item would work for the purposes I out lined them to him while in the store and when I went out to my car (which he claimed that he has a car just like mine) the item did not work as promised. however since the item does charge my phone I kept it. That still does not exclude the fact that I asked if the cord would both charge the phone and interface the music to my car system. So...item good...service terrible so overall a 3.

Charges the phone fast!! If you have a small space from outlet to where you will lay device this is perfect! If you have a long distance from wall outlet to where the device will be charging you will not want this product!!

    Cord length and Versatility

Overall, the cord and it's mate work. But, I'm unclear what use a 4ft coiled cord can be used for. I thought that I could streetch the cord to meet my needs. Unfortunately, it will stretch, but it won't stay streched. It retracts making it useless for in-car use. Coiled or not...it makes no difference. The length of the uncoiled cord is all you're going to be able to use. so, keep that in mind. In most isntances, I believe a driver will need at least 6 ft. to be useful.

The cord works great. Has gold ends which I think work better (might just be my perception). My only gripe is the length. I bought it believing it was 4' as advertised. Reality is more like 1 foot since the coil is tight and you really stretch it out. And if you could stretch it, it would never stay plugged in to anything because of the pull from being stretched. Buy this if you need a short (1') connection, not 4' as advertised.

Although the coiled cord is convenient and keeps the power cord neat it does not allow for you to move the phone around as freely as you may need to so the screen can be viewed conveniently .
