The iPad is completely cased in like a picture frame plus the added fold that keeps it in place and finally the lock is not a soft lock that is easy to pop if it ever falls.

whimsy yet professional sturdy iPad case

I have a Lifeproof case for my phone, but I didn't want the bulk for my iPad. The case size is perfect when using my Incase origami workstation for the wireless keyboard.
