In short, Grimm takes a different angle on the severity and enjoyable presentation of a supernatural procedural (think Supernatural in its existence). Instead of a pair of monster hunters with a magic gun that are brothers, you have a man who is more or less a descendant of the legendary Brothers Grimm, armed with an extensive tome/book of listed monsters (known as Wesen or Wiesen, depending on its spelling in some languages) that works to police his home against the strangest creatures. It's very case-of-the-week in its presentation as always, with the occasional multi-episode arc. Overall, the show is rooted in using a lot of unknown actors that thrive well in their roles, so you never truly know who or what you're going to get (and that is a BIG sell in this show: the unexpected and the mystery). And after four seasons, it's still going pretty strong. We're already at five seasons in broadcast now, and with the show having eked out full season orders every time, this show is so close to syndication on other channels. If it does that, there's a very good chance it'll find more fans on other channels at whatever times deemed fit to air. Overall, this show is for fans of modern supernatural or fantasy with a bit of police investigation/procedural...especially Supernatural fans.

Really loved this series. Great cast of characters.

This show just gets better with each season. Great writing with season long story arch that keep you coming back. Characters you love & get attached to played by great actors. David Giuntoli is perfectly cast as main character Nick, Silas Weir Mitchell is great as his friend Monroe, Bree Turner is pure magic as his wife Rosalee, and Jacqueline Toboni is fantastic as the recently added Trubel. The police action mixed with the sometimes gothic & assorted monsters & killers make this a different kind of cop show worth watching. On-location filming in Portland, Oregan adds authenticity to the show.

I started watching Grimm on a friend's recommendation and have been hooked. It plays and feels alot like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yet it has its own groove and in some ways excels above its competitors such as Supernatural. Some of the creature effects could be better as the series relies on alot of cgi effects as I'm sure that's far cheaper than make up and prosthetics work. However, the series stories and direction make up for the short comings in effects work.

Grimm is a show that everyone should see, especially if you are into fairy tales or paranormal. Grimm is not a Disney story (to some extent), but truly goes into the real Grimm fairy tales. The show gives you how the fairy tales got their darkness. The characters develop into heroes/heroines and sometimes evil changes side. Its a show that compels you to continue to watch it. The character development, talent, and the creatures are a work of art.

I have watched Grimm since the first episode and find it to be a great series with exciting turns and unexpected twists. The way the characters morph into different creatures is very interesting. I enjoy the tie-in to fairy tales and the plots that develop the different characters making the series very diverse. If you enjoy fairy tales, you will enjoy this series.

This show has always been good.The season 4 set brings back all the great episodes from last year.Great plot and cliffhangers every week. You never know where it will take you. Great special effects and photography. Gloomy dark scenes with creepy lighting that puts a lot of suspense in the scenes. Great story lines. A great show filmed in the northwest.

Great writers, great actors, very ethnically diverse. Love the balance of suspense, action & humor. Love the fact that there's no profanity and that they keep the story moving by not focusing on sex scenes but still do a great job on bringing to light, love interests.

Grimm has the best make-up department, ever. The actors who portray the Wesen are perfectly matched to their Wesen make-up. The stories are fast-paced and rely on the element of surprise, as well as being well-acted. These are episodes you can watch over again to refresh your memory of the story arc. Very well done, indeed.

I don't know how many people are watching this show, but I am happy to say that I am one who gets it. I've enjoyed binge watching it over the past year and every season gets better. If you like shows like X-Files and Supernatural, this is right up your alley. Give it a shot and you won't regret it.

I love this series. No only is it suspenseful, it's fun to witness the character changes and the surprise endings are awesome. The current scripts are starting to reflect current viewpoint issues, not all bad, but I prefer to keep it good versus evil and scary. I will continue to watch it.

As always, the Grimm series, especially the extras, are well worth keeping as an archive. Episodes that did not seem very good when they were broadcast reveal items that we missed when waiting through commercials and the evil that pays for the broadcasts. Awesome stuff

Grimm Season Four DVD is perfect for fans of the show. Stakes are higher for Nick and the gang, and watching the episodes back to back makes it even better. Love the extra features especially deleted scenes. A must have for any Grimm fan. Great price too.

I am enjoying season 4 of Grimm, just like the other seasons. I really enjoy this show. Anyone who luvs fantasy with a bit of horror, will like this show. Great scripts and acting. The make-up and computer effects are great in this show!

What else is there to say, fourth season with fifth on its way cant wait , this is an ongoing serious plot out like a novel born movie . Countless drama , action , horror and comedy scenes that drive your imagination wild as well as in tuned.

great show , has everything you want in a series. only thing is poor Nick needs a break for heavens sake. he has to be hausted menatally, physically an emotionally. but I have all four seasons and cant wait till I get the 5th season

Yet another exceptional season of Grimm released. This set has an ultraviolet code which allows for the entire family to watch without having to worry about them returning the set. Btw-they won't return it if you lend them out!

Grimm has the best makeup and special effects artists ever and season 4 continues the story with more Wesen creatures that are fantastic. The suspense mounts and there are more surprises - what will happen next season???

I got hooked on Grimm after watching the first season. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to afford the Blu Ray discs but I happened to stumble upon a great deal. I purchased Seasons 1 through 4 at $11.99 per season.
