If you didn't like or understand the first two, don't bother with this. If you are a fan, as my wife and I are, then I think you'll like this one as well. However, it's not as good as the first two, but still good in it's own right. It has a different director, Toby Wilkins (Splinter). But, the original director, Takashi Shimizu, is still the executive producer. Some of the actors and actresses have changed, but some are the same. It's still just as intriguing as the other two and picks up where the other one left off. Like I said, if you're a fan of the first two, I think you'll like this one as well. I highly recommend it! Also, from the same director, the film Splinter is pretty good.

"The Grudge 3" is simply more of the same... the same scares, the same type of scenes, and the same "what is going on here" characters. Luckily, if you like "The Grudge" series as I do, this won't be that big of a deal for you. The story loses the fractured timeline narrative of the others and is more straightforward in its design. It is also less mundane than "The Grudge 2", and like the rest of them, has a really tightly knit climax.
Recommended for fans of the series, but if you didn't like the other two, this one won't change your mind.
