The new guitar hero's guitar controller is an exciting departure from the standard 5 buttons and makes learning how to play exciting again – like beginning anew with the game for the first time. With only 42 songs on the disc though, the GHTV doesn't do quite enough to keep you wanting to play all night because you can go through a half hour and not know some of the songs, if your style of music isn't on the two free GHTV channels. Other than that, great game.

This game is a blast I find the new controller slightly harder to use than the old one but you get used to it pretty quickly Love the new portion where you play songs along with an mtv like channel the best.

I have been playing Guitar Hero since the inception of the series and haven't been as challenged as Guitar Hero Live since the first Guitar Hero. It literally feels like you have to re-learn how to play the entire rhythm guitar genre. My main issue with it is the limited selection of songs is quickly exhausted and the Guitar Hero TV feature reminds me of micro-transaction cell phone games.

Good game and controllers. It's just that sometimes, it does not calibrate well.

After reading much about Guitar Hero Live vs. Rockband 4 I was uncertain if I should buy Guitar Hero Live as I already had Rockband 4 (I got for the drum play). I can say that Guitar Hero Live and the new guitar layout has added much fun as compared to the Rockband 4 guitar. Yes, its annoying to some that the game doesnt' have DLC like Rockband 4, but the new gameplay type is fun, engaging, and allows you to listen to new music.
I recommend this game to those who are up for a challenge of learning an new guitar layout. If DLC is going to annoy you, or the lack there of, don't get this. But it is definitely enjoyable. I don't know if I would get the two guitar pack again, but yeah.

The game play is awesome. I like the songs added this time around, but the guitars need some improvement. I had to exchange the first one bc the buttons were sticking on the fret. The new guitars I got are fine, but when you are playing at a fast pace (on normal) the buttons don't come up fast enough. The game is cool enough for me to deal with it though :)

The guitars take some getting used to since this is very different than the regular guitar hero/rock band guitars. The buttons are very different but easier for me. With the old models I always had a hard time reaching orange so this way you don't hit any more than 3 keys. Buttons are on top of each other so it feels more like you are playing frets which is cool. The campaign mode feels repetitive with fan stuff but the online with music videos was really nice. And its ready whenever. You don't worry about paying for songs on that playlist unless you want to choose song at specific time. So you get a lot of songs but it stirs them up. However, their latest hits is not up to date. But I liked it. I was hesitant at first but I showed it to some friends and we had fun.

The guitar hero franchise got a facelift with guitar hero live. New guitar design is great with 6 button layout. The tv mode is amazing with music videos in the background

I think the best part of this game is the new guitar, 3 double buttons, that allow for much more difficult combinations. So much more challenging than Rockband.

Overall i enjoyed this game, but my gf not so much. Yes its not not the same button sequence as before and thats what she doesnt like but me I'm ready to play. Way better songs then rock band 4. My only issue is that playing this on normal is a bit challenging at first but if you ready to try something new this is a good game

A lot of songs in the game. It's a 6 button guitar so a lot more challenging than before. Highly recommend if you enjoyed guitar hero in the past.

The music games are back! Believe it or not though I am still kind of burned out on them, which is why GHL is such a great addition. They took the big risk changing the guitar and it pays off with a fresh experience. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the guitars feel a little cheap.

I can see how some people would not like the new controller design, but personally I don't have any issues with it. The two rows give it a more authentic feeling and Guitar Hero TV is a really cool concept. Overall I really enjoy the game and I've had a good time playing

Love the advancements in this game, the live video is the best in the background. So cool! But wish there was more to the game, you should have some sort of storyline, start local venues move up to festivals and headlining. There's nothing like that in this game.

I was really looking forward to the new guitar hero coming out. When we set it up everything works great, but we continue having problems with one of the cars constantly shutting itself off or missing notes. So we boxed everything up and took it back and brought a new set home.l, only to have the same problem. After the 3rd set, we gave up and got rockband 4. Turns out the reason for the problem has to do with how the guitars connect to the Xbox one. They use a dongle. However the dongle kept getting interfered with our wifi, as our router is in close proximity to the xbox. No way to fix it other than relocate router which was not possible. Just something to keep in mind if you are thinking of getting guitar hero

The song list on this game is great, the live TV game play is fun and entertaining. However this game was created for individual players and not so much as a group play. Having two guitars and a microphone will limit your options as to who gets to play because there's only two usb ports on the xbox. The one thing I grew to dislike is the fact that they guitars come with their own USB receiver that you must have plugged into the xbox. So the guitar doesn't connect directly to the console with out the usb receiver. Which to me is kind of a cheap shot from the creators of the game. (so as to limit your component options).
The game itself is fun and I enjoy it, but when I have friends over, we're not all able to play. We can only have two people playing. For this reason I will most likely purchase rock band so that I can enjoy a good session with my friends and family.

I like how Guitar Hero Live went with a new guitar for their latest game, rather than just making minor improvements to the typical 5-button guitar that Rock Band still uses. It's challenging and fun, and can provide hours of entertainment. Change=good.

I love guitar hero. I love it because it is a game that connects with my love for music and makes me feel like a musician (which I am most definitely not). Even my kids love the game. Graphics are great. Controller is very fun and challenging. Better than the old controller. I hope they continue to come out with additional sets for GH Live as I passed both the first day I had it. I haven't played with GH TV yet, but I am excited for that new challenge.
