In guitar Instruction. The CD and DVD make things much clearer.

I'm not a beginner guitar player, but I haven't played since I sold my last guitar quite a few years ago. On an impulse I bought a guitar about 3 months ago and struggled to remember how I used to form chords, strumming patterns, riffs, etc. Old age I guess... Anyway, when I received this guitar method package I first reviewed the instruction book for the level and type of content. It has strumming techniques, basic notes for each of the strings, chord charts and a broad spectrum of different lead sheets of songs. Sorry, I haven't checked out the CD yet, but the book says the CD tracks relate to all the lead sheets (songs) contained in the book. I was pleased with the book as a good reference document and it inspired me to get started and re-familiarized myself with many of the things that I had forgotten about playing the guitar. I then reviewed the DVD and was really impressed with the content. The songs, riffs, etc are demonstrated along with the music notation scrolling on the bottom of the screen. I really like this method of scrolling the music as it is always difficult to see exactly what the guitarist is doing during a song. After spending an hour or so with this DVD with my guitar, I can honestly say I got a great jumpstart in my confidence and technique, plus I learned some easy impressionable riffs and songs that I now can play. This package with the DVD is bargain for what it contains and how it can get you started playing cool stuff in a short amount of time.
