Was hesitant when this came out. Didn't see it in the theaters but when I finally watched it I was pleasantly surprised and glad it wasn't the dumpster fire that Rob Zombie's Halloween films were. I'm actually looking forward to Halloween Kills! The steelbook is top notch and the film itself looks great in 4k. Highly recommended!

I am not a huge scary movie fan but the original Halloween movies are my absolute favorite!! When I found out that a new Halloween movie was coming out I knew that I had to see it in theaters with Dolby Surround Sound!! So happy I did because it was AMAZING!! I am so happy to have the Blu-ray so that I can watch it every Halloween!!

Finally the franchise feels vintage again great slasher that already feels like a classic in opinion. I'm glad to see carpenter work on the Halloween series with his most famous character Michael Myers.Thank you Carpenter for rescuing the series from the idiot zombie !!!

40 years after Michael Myers' killing spree in Haddonfield, survivor Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has been preparing for his return. This sequel to the 1978 original is a great change of pace as Halloween sequels go. Michael Myers is finally scary again and Curtis is fantastic as the one who's life has one purpose - stop Michael Myers...permanently! A surprising fright flick that's more hit than miss or better yet - more treat than trick.

Halloween is set 40 years into the future from John Carpenter's original. It essentially eliminates the events of Halloween 2. The new take is unique, but the premise is thin at times. There is an older and more battle scarred Curtis that steals the movie. The remaining cast isn't as strong. I enjoyed the movie and the new intense soundtrack from Carpenter, but you can't beat the originals. This version is worth seeing. It really does have it's moments.

When word came that the studios were going to develop another "Halloween" film, I was skeptical as the past sequels were largely forgettable but David Gordon Green's 40 year follow-up to the original is very effective and works as a good horror/thriller film that brings back the basics of what made the original standout with even John Carpenter contributing to the music. Overall, I would highly recommend "Halloween" especially for fans of the original.

I got this instead of the 4K just to save a few bucks and I’m immensely pleased with the picture is sound. Dark scenes look fantastic. I just wish there was a substantial documentary or commentary. But you rarely get those with big releases from big distributors these days. Ah well. If you like the film, you obviously have to get this.

This was very fun to experience. Ignoring all sequels to the original, this new crew decides to tell their own sequel 40 years later; catching up with our main characters while introducing new ones with a new take on the slasher genre. Curtis is fantastic and the take on female empowerment against their attacker/abuser is not lost on this viewer. The ending falls a bit short but on the whole? A solid ‘new’ chapter for Michael and Laurie.

This is literally like watching film in 3D. The levels of cinema are greatly enhanced with UHD video and simply makes a good experience even more enjoyable. Great film, especially if you're a fan of the series, but was blown away with what 4K movies could bring. This was my first UHD movie, but certainly not my last.

One of my favorite horror movies to come out last year. Very well done, especially for the director and writer who are primarily known for comedies. This was an excellant follow up. Not by any means perfect but really well done. Couldn't have been any worse then the awful Rob Zombie directed Halloween 2, when it was announced that they were making another one. Jamie Lee Curtis once again proves why legends never retire. SEE IT!!!!!!

I saw this in the theater opening day. I loved it, but horror fans didn't like it so much. I have a decent horror movie collection (a lot of them include Jamie Lee Curtis) and I thought this was better than most of the Halloween sequels. It had some sequences that were out of place but a great modern day horror movie.

When I first saw this in the theater on Halloween, I was amazed by how suspenseful and humorous it was and it did a great job paying tribute to all the films that came before it. I managed to get the steelbook which there was only one left and I got it in the nick of time, the picture and sound quality is great beyond words.

Overall, I liked this movie. Jamie Lee Curtis is always good. But I must admit, with all the different timelines, getting a remake, a sequel to the remake, only to go back to the original timeline IS a lot. This is basically a NEW Halloween 2 even though it's the third movie to simply be named Halloween. Confused? I'm not, but most probably are. I would still recommend. I just wouldn't try to explain it.

Halloween 2018 is a good movie but it could have had more I did expect that scenes or had some of the old characters from previous Halloween’s that Michael didn't kill hope they make a part two of this movie and let it be and also what about laurie’s son from H20 but all and all great for my collection I paid $12.99 for mines BBY has it on sale for $9.99 and will price match Amazon and wal-mart if they have it cheaper

This movie is great. It was great that they got Jamie Lee Curtis back for this movie. The story line is great for the movie by its self. I’m glad that some of the thing happen in the movie but not others. You will like this movie and it’s character’s. Some of the things that happen will shock you and you will love it.

    Not A Bad Sequel

As many people may be confused, this Halloween movie is a direct single sequel to the original 1978 Halloween movie, ignoring all other movies n the franchise. This is a reimagining, a sequel reboot (if you will), and plays out perfectly. Halloween (2018) is both nostalgic and renewed, with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role of Laurie Strode 40 years later. This movie could be considered the best sequel of the franchise.

The question here is it the last of Michael Myers??? I would like to think so . I have all the Halloween movies & the Rob Zombie one as well. Love that Jamie Lee Curtis returned . Great movie to have in my collection of the Halloween movies. Price was great for 4K . Good movie to buy for Halloween .

Any fan of "THE SHAPE" must own this release. Period. Yes, the bluray special features are not overly impressive (thanks Universal) but this Steelbook MAKES the release. Looks gorgeous on the shelf next to my Scream Factory Halloween Collection. For the best Halloween sequel yet, be sure to pick up this exclusive!

It is no secret that the Halloween franchise has had its ups and downs. It has a great original film, a couple of entertaining sequels (1981’s Halloween II, 4 and H20), some misfires (III, 5 and 6) and it’s complete duds (Resurrection and Zombie’s two Halloween films). So, it wasn’t no surprise the idea was to ignore everything except the original film. The results are quite good. Highly recommended for horror fans.

Once you accept that this is a direct sequel to the first movie (including 1981's Halloween II), this is a great movie. Ignore everything between this and the very first movie. For such a historic return to the franchise with Jaime Lee Curtis and even John Carpenter, I feel like we should have gotten more extras.
