An amazing steelbook with Edmiston’s art is a must have for horror fans who know he name. The movie itself is great. Definitely the second best sequel after H2. Myers is back for this one with a high kill count. Jamie lee also back in her next battle with the shape. Looks like this sold out for a good reason.

Halloween is the best sequel to the original since Halloween II. Disregarding ALL previous sequels, the movie very much has the same feel as the original, and having John Carpenter score it really brings it home. Jamie Lee is great and the production is just fantastic. A very worthy sequel to the original.

If you're a fan of Halloween and all of it's sequels, this is a must have/watch. The small nods to all of the sequels that it essentially erases are great. While it might not have lived up to all of the hype surrounding it's release, this is a great film and belongs in any Halloween fan's collection.

The 4k version of HALLOWEEN 2018 is beautiful. the movie comes to life . The movie itself is great, Went to see it in the theater and had a blast. I was waiting for the home release as soon as i left the theater. If your a fan of HALLOWEEN this disc is for you. Just wish the extras were a little longer.

I saw this in the theater and went as far as buying it as it was really well done. It picks up right after the first one many years later and addresses the brother sister story line that came up in part 2. I have heard they will be making a sequel but for now this was amazing and a welcome return.

The question to ask up front is are you a diehard Halloween fan who can't handle change, or do you like something new. Yes this film basically ignores all of the films after number 1....but I'm ok with that. It was a good story, good action, and had me wondering what is next I hope their is a sequal.

When I heard that Carpenter was not only helping production of the new Halloween movie but also scoring it with his son Cody my hopes a good movie went up. I was not disappointed, even if they scrapped everything from 2 and up in the process this was a good continuation of the original 1978 film.

Isaw the original Halloween with a young Jamie Lee Curtis and had doubts if this could be as good. My doubts were wrong. The squeil was much better than I had expected. It had me on the edge of my seat through the entire time. I highly recommend this film and watch it with some one 3 Thumbs up!

It blows my mind that I am saying this but this movie just is not good at ALL. It had no idea what style it was trying to be. It involved characters that weren't needed and were fleeting. It still acts as though Laurie is Michael's sister even though she isn't and I did not believe that Laurie could be that crazy after 40 years, still stuck on that one night. The characters were not interesting or likable. They snuck in comedy at wrong moments. The pacing was off. It would rev up, slow down, take a sharp left turn, then slow down again, rev up for a second. There was little to no suspense or build-up. It was as though they just hoped having the Myers character would make everyone happy and they did not care to make anything else enjoyable. They just did not know what they were going for with this one. I compare it to sitting in a room with 3 TVs that each have completely different programs on each and you're taking turns watching all 3 at once. That's how inconsistent this movie felt. I could not wait for it to be over...

The steelbook case is beautifully created. It gives off the feel of a comic book cover with the intensity that is Michael Myers. The image of Laurie inside is great and the double disc fits perfectly. The movie is a stand out for the Halloween series and if you're a fan, definitely get this !

The movie itself is a great movie, IMHO. I was definitely impressed with the UHD picture quality using a sony uhd blu ray player, a OLED tv and accompanying Dolby Atom surround stereo. It intensified everything in the movie. It felt like Michael Meyers was in the house. Great movie and excellently produced UHD blu ray disc. No regrets on this purchase and would highly recommend.

I'm a big fan of the Halloween series, Mostly the first two entries. The character of Michael Myers was always my favorite icon when it comes to the slasher films. This latest movie brings back Laurie Strode in a great way. Performances and cinematography is great, and the kills are surprisingly brutal. If you're a fan of the series, definitely check this one out.

A very well crafted horror film that has some good scares and a decent story. Jamie Lee Curtis is great as usual and the rest of the cast does a good job as well. Provides some decent scares with a little bit of comedy thrown in. Michael brings his killer moves to town again and prepares for one last dance with Laurie. A movie worth watching with the lights off, just not on Halloween.

A Worthy Successor To The Original

The first Halloween movie from the late 1970's was unique in the horror genre. Subsequent sequels were hit and miss. This new movie is rather like a part 2 or 3 of the original and I think it works very well. In fact I plan to now buy a copy of the first in the series. If you only own the first one and this new movie I think that's all one really needs. The rest are superfluous.

I love this movie. I may be biased because I’m a huge Michael Myers fan, but I thought they did a great job picking up from the original. A lot of people think this is a remake, but it’s not. It picks up from the original, 40 years later from when the terror happened. Great, Great Movie!

Good movie that leans heavily on the original and not all the sequels that came after. Should close the chapter on JLC in Halloween movies but who knows, they always find a way to bring her back. I prefer to buy the combo pack as paying for the digital version alone is the same price. At least with this you still get discs which are good for road trips or when networks are down.

I was enthused for this installment and was not at all let down. Score Cinematography Acting Character development All 5 stars. I know there is likely a division in fans, though if you are willing to subvert otherwise unrealistic expectations you'll enjoy this piece of film

This was a good trip back to the original Halloween universe. In case you don't know, this movie pretends that every other Halloween movie after the first one never happened, and takes you back to the original battle between Michael and Lori. It did a great job telling this new story

This is an excellent follow up to John Carpenter’s original classic. The 4K looks and sounds great. The only thing I would improve is the extras. It seems like there are some decent bonus features, but they are mostly fluff pieces. I would’ve loved a director/actor commentary track and an actual making of doc. That complaint aside, I’d still recommend this to horror fans.
