Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the unique gameplay view and the fun Firefight mode in Halo 3: ODST. The immersive story and varied weapons also receive positive feedback, although some find the campaign too brief and the price point high for the content. Many appreciate the inclusion of new maps. A few players mention concerns about the character's lower durability compared to other Halo protagonists.

its a good game short campaign though. wait until it drops a little in price unless your a halo fanatic. it comes with a second disc that has everything from halo 3 except the campaign theres no matchmaking aside from that. fore firefight you have to join a friends game or invite a friend. Bungie sort of made it to hold us over for Halo Reach

More aliens to destroy. I like it. Good way to pass the time when the weather stinks. Keeps true to the brand. Sorry not a big techy so I can't go into the graphics and design features. But a wonderful game while waiting for Reach.

Great game with great atmosphere. If your a Halo fan than your going to buy it if your not its a great game to start telling the story of the Halo universe. PROS: Solid controls, good graphics, fantastic multiplayer and great enemy AI are Highlights of the game. CONS: Squad AI could be a little smarter

I've gotta say i bought this game the first day it came out. i was just as excited as every other halo lover. The night after i got it i started the campaign on heroic. At first i thought it was great, the new magnum and firefight was fantastic. But i realized i was at the end of the game within a 4 hour time period. i was fine with that at the time because i was going to play firefight online when i realized there wasn't a matchmaking option for firefight. although its a great story its too short and the multiplayer isn't worth it. i would suggest this to halo lovers like myself but if your expecting a great halo game that'll keep you hooked don't bother. Id suggest waiting for Modern Warfare 2

    A Great Game

Halo 3: ODST is in my opinion the best Halo game out of the five. It features a new campaign in a different setting and it lets you play as an ODST instead of a Spartan. It features new weapons such as the Silenced SMG and the new Automatic MAG pistol. The game also brings back the Brute Plasma Riffle which is stronger than the Elite version. Only many people such as me were some what disapointed that the Battle Riffle was not in the game. Also it is set betweent the slip space jump from New Mombasa in Halo 2 to the begining of Halo 3, so there should be Elites in there right? Well that was the other thing I found bad about ODST...the only Elites it featured were dead ones. Other than that this was an awsome game!

    Where is the story?

Im not a huge fan of the Halo games, but this one looked like it would be fun. Any game that has to do with special forces, special squads of killing machines always has my interest. This game is fun to play and I really enjoyed myself, but I am disapointed with the weak story of the game. 1st off I didnt really feel I was part of an Elite squard of special force marines (ODST), instead i felt like just someone who can shoot and kill things, the partnership and teamwork, the comradery wasn't really there for me. 2nd the "relationship" between Gunny (i think that his name) and Dare was kinda lame! how are he gonna sacrafic his whole squad just for a women? doesn't make sense....but overall i like the game, there is just a few things that needs changing in my opinion. in terms of game play and "coolness" it beats Master Chief by far.

ok if you are looking to buy a good game dont get this one. the campaign is kind of boring, firefight is good (if you have friends that want to play it with you) this game is just a tad better than halo wars wich is a terrible game. if you have xbox live on halo 3 you could hit matchmaking and play against other people but this game doesnt have that all it has is firefight and you cant play people you dont know you have to invite your friend or play splitscreen on your xbox. dont get this game GET MODERN WARFARE 2 INSTEAD

    Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3 ODST is expansion to Halo 3.You battle through an all-new story as an ODST(Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) in a story line that serves as a prequel to Halo 3.Your mission is to locate the remaining members of your squad somewhere within the city of New Mombasa.A new multiplayer mode entitled "Firefight" is introduced, where you and four players must work together to repel increasingly challenging waves of enemies.Similar to "Gears of War 2's" Horde.A second disc has a total of 24 multiplayer maps, three of which are new, with the remainder comprised of the "legendary," "heroic," and "mythic" Halo 3 map packs that were previously available as downloadable content via Xbox Live.Initial runs of Halo 3: ODST also include a key to the multiplayer beta of the franchise's next anticipated title, Halo: Reach in 2010.

When I heard this was coming out i was thrilled so i preordered it, got it the first day it came out, put in my console, started the campaign and i got lost in the campiagn 5 MINUTES in. It is just this huge city and you play as like 5 different characters so u cant make a true bond between any character besides the guy who doesnt speak, the rookie. This wouldnt have bothered me cause firefight was good if this update was only 20 $ instead of 60. So, like a true halo fan, i cashed it in and got Modern Warfare 2 and it was awesome. So keep ur money and buy a better game cause this was a disgrace compared to the rest of the series

If you’re a every day Halo player and already have all the map packs then only thing you’re getting with the added disk is 3 new maps. The campaign is way too short you can be done with it in a day and that’s on legendary. The story is set up is right out of the movie Vantage Point where you see what happens from others point of view to get the full story. They say this guy is weaker, if he is its not by much. Firefight is cool but if you have no friends on then you’re on your own because there is no matchmaking (somebody really dropped the ball on that). This game was half done like a kid that didn’t want to do his homework.

6-10 hour long story mode. Firefight is a ton of fun. But no matchmaking. So you can only play with friends. Great game but not worth the $60 tag. Wait for a price drop

This is a decent game. Not up to all the hype it got, but still better than most others out there. They were smart to release it before Modern Warfare 2. I wish they would enhance the online play more.

This is the very last game in the halo games, but for this one your not playing as the master chief or the arbiter. You will be playing as an ODST marine in the city of new monbassa after Regret a prophet from the game halo 2. True this game does have multi-player but one of the big things people want from this game is the remaining 3 vid-master so they can unlock the halo 3 armor that only the best of the best have and that armor is Recon. I would recommend this game to any one who is a fan of the halo games and want to see someone new step in for the chief and the arbiter.

I am definitely going to buy this game when it comes out in November. OMG. So many great games are coming out. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Left for Dead 2. Just to name a few. Game Review: Continue to play the halo series but as an ODST or a orbital drop shock trooper for long. That is why in the preview you drop down form orbit. I believe the whole idea of the city computer as a guide is sort of cool. From the preview the graphics look decent and cant wait to play a game that will have a sort of counterstrike feel. I recommend this game to any halo fans!!

This game's campaign will be amazing. From the trailer i noticed that Recon-wearing soldiers are commanding you and your fleet. You are an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper who lands in New Mambasa(spellcheck) during the splitspace rupture the covenant caused on the city (halo 2). Your set off course and have to regroup with your squad. The game will also include Fire Fight, a whole new thing to halo. As if Forge and Theater werent enough, Halo ODST will include a Horde(Gears of War 2) type system where you fight off fleets of covenant. I personally cant wait.

If you love halo then buy it, added difficulty with not having duel wield but that makes it a tad more challenging to where you can't go in guns-a-blazing. Go buy it and you will see.

ODST should be understood to not be a multiplayer game, hence it comes with the second disc that provides said experience. Because of this, it should be thought of as strictly a 'campaign' only game and it focuses more on the story which is, if not, the best ever presented in a game (it even houses one of the best side-stories). Altogether, ODST is another great game in the Halo series. Bungie = perfection!

Its a alright game, get it if you have never owned Halo 3. If you own Halo 3, don't get it, its not that much different, and campaign and firefight is not all that fun.
