Customers are saying

Customers highly value the multiplayer, graphics, and weapons in Halo 3 Platinum Hits, with many praising the exciting online battles and impressive visuals. The story and maps also receive positive feedback, while the Forge mode is considered a standout feature by some players. However, some find the campaign mode to be too short and easy, suggesting a lack of challenge for some players. Overall, the game's strengths lie in its multiplayer and customization options, though improvements to the campaign's length and difficulty could enhance the experience.

I've never been the biggest fan of these types of shooters. I always like the realistic types, but this is one exception. Halo 3 is a great game, story and especially online. All of the different game settings and types keeps this game fun for a very long time.

Bungie did a tremendous job bringing Halo to it's conclusion. The story is fantastic, albeit a bit short. As for the gameplay, they stuck with the tried and true Halo formula, adding in a few minor tweaks for some amazingly entertaining gaming. The campaign is great, and the multiplayer offers so many options and incredible moments that it will never get old. If you own a 360, this game is a must have!

The campaign is very fun especially through Xbox LIVE, playing with friends. But the ending left me thinking COME ON! I wont tell you if your buying this game but it upset me. I thought it would end gracefully, but not even close. Now the Xbox LIVE experience. Halo 3 on xbox live is very fun.. at first. You think this is awesome!!! Which it is at times. It still lacks guns, abilities, maps, and some hacking. But it is way faster than Halo 2 and much more fun. I would buy this game but once you play this game then say MW2 you'll see what I mean.

This is a good game for the series and has a pretty good story. Although, there are many problems. Ok, in my opinion, this is just Halo 2 with more guns. And by guns, I mean the exact same guns, just a lot worse than before. Most of the guns that are brought back from Halos 1 and 2 are just re-made into a lot less powerful guns. And the swords now clash together.(Goodbye sword horde) and the sniper has TERRIBLE kick back and you now have to lead your shots.(shoot where the enemy is GOING to be, not where they are at the given point in time) And they also in my opinion have worse maps as well. I mean sure there are a few good maps, but for the most part, there just the same ol' thing. Although, for what Halo 3 loses in multiplayer, it makes up for in campaign. This has a great story and a very good ending for the series. There are still bad things in here as well though. The game is probably around 6-8 hours, on LEGENDARY. And the game gets quite repetative. Even though the Scarabs now have crazy cool explosions, it gets kinda old for the 5th time. To wrap this all up, I just need to say that this is a very good game, just not good enough to buy the special or legendary editions.

The game has to be the best ever made, completely revolutionizing online gaming for gamers around the world. The online and campaign are awesome, supporting great graphic and very little lag. It is played by people all over the world and was anticipated by almost every gamer out there. Its game types and maps are outstanding compared with other games out there. Halo 3 has taken over the xbox 360.

This is the best console first person shooter (FPS) I have ever played. It has intuitive controls, great storyline and excellent graphics. The gameplay gives more than enough replayability with the online features as well as the co-op options. 4 player campaign co-op? heck yes, lol. Definite must-buy for the xbox!

This game lives up to all the hype. It really is a must-own for the 360. I just finished the single-player game and feel that it could have been longer and more intense, but overall it presented a decent challenge. You'll simply marvel at the graphics! I don't know how many times I was killed when I just stopped to gawk at the amazing scene before me. Intense game! Buy it!

    Halo - Great Xbox Game!

This is a fun game that many of my friends enjoy playing. It does enhance social skills and team-work. My husband plays and meets people from around the world. It is violent so I advise people to only allow adults and older teens to play. However, very enjoyable for even some to watch. The story is interesting and it is fun to play the chapters as well. Great Game!

    Best Xbox game by far

Although I am a Playstation 3 fanatic, I must say that Halo 3 was outstanding. I am disappointed that Bungie/ Microsoft won't allow it to go multi-platform but whatever. Any way, this game has many new features including: better vehicles, gravity hammer, spartan laser, amazing maps, and all of the bonuses of Halo and Halo 2. I would recommend this game to everyone. Young people, old people and Wii people. This game is amazing and everything abkout it is fun, except the single player (but who gets halo for the single player anyway). In other words, If your looking for the BEST multiplayer game out on the market for a console get Halo 3. But if your looking for a great single player game with pretty good online play on the consoles get Resistance Fall of Man. But if you are a PC gamer get Counter Strike Source, that has the best online play of any game on any platform of all time. But as for Halo3, it is currently the best console multiplayer game on the market and is definatly worth the money.

    Awesome Online Play

This is my favorite game for Xbox 360, but I would not recommend it for children. If you have a HD tv the graphics are amazing. It is great for online play, especially if you don't mind a little trash talking. This a huge improvement over Halo 2. The only downside is that online matchmaking can sometimes be slow, and some of the players online are too good.

    Bungie screwed up

good game if you are plying with your friends online or even linked up. Bad, Bad, and i mean BAD campaign. i was very dissapointed with the ending and the story in general. Bungie's new rank system came out today (9/23/08), it was the Title Uptade. there are new achievments and medals, but it seems the te rank system is actually worse than the last one.

a very overrated halo that isnt all that better for a 360 game, it would be amazing if it was a xbox game, but for 360 standards it feel well short of expectations, they clamed it would be more challenging, and the only thing that could kill me on legendary where snipers, online play for multiplayer is okay. just not as good as other games with a third the hype.

Awesome game, recommended for anyone who likes FPS (first person shooter) games. Great storyline as well, successfully and creatively finishes the trilogy. Can't really say anything bad about the game, except an ace at FPS could probably finish it on normal difficulty in 10-15 hrs (legendary is much more challenging, which makes it a longer game)

    Finish The Fight

Bungie wraps up Halo in a great way with a clear plot. Graphics and sound are a 6 out of 5. HDTV and 5.1 or 7.1 are needed. Soundtrack is the best yet. Many new songs and old Favorites that have been revised. You'll be playing this for a long time with one of the best Mult. Player in all of gameing history. cannot go wrong with this buy.

You finish the fight yes- but....

Set right after Halo 2- the story of Halo 3 goes like this: Master Chief crashes in the jungles of Earth, he is rescued, has to get used to the elite's new alliance with humanity, chase the Prophet of Truth through a portal to the Halo rings's control room: the Ark, kill Truth, save Cortana from the Flood leader the Gravemind, and finally blow up the Ark and destroy the Flood. However the game leaves us off at a cliffhanger even more irritatting than Halo 2's. The campaign is fun; but it is only nine levels long and gets boring after the second time playing it. And in a way it rips you off because there are so many instances with the Gravemind that has "boss fight" written all over it, but you never do! It really makes you wonder what Bungie was doing during the whole three years they had to make this. Fortunatly: you can play campaign with your friends over the online magic that is Xbox LIVE, so there is some replay value. The multiplayer is fantastic and twice as strong than the previous two. Plus, there is even a neat little tool called "Forge" in which you can edit objects in any of the multiplayer maps. Objects keep in mind- not the overall layout. There is even a movie making feature called "Theater" in which you replay game data that you already played- and can watch it like a movie, make it a movie, take a screenshot, etc. Its a great game, but the story mode will leave you unsatisfied. But the multiplayer, Forge, and Theater modes greatly make up for it.

this was a great game, i really like the weapons in this game over the ones in halo 2. the only cons that i have to say is that the storyline is a bit on the short side of things. but the online multiplayer is GREAT. now with all the new maps there is a great chance to master all the weapons depending on which u preffer (ex. sniping vs. shotgun)

This game is an amazing improvement over Halo 2, it brings back the true feel of the original Halo title while breathing new life into it with the beauty of HD and the simplified controller layout of the Xbox 360 system. The campaign is short but sweet, and there are literally hundreds of hours of entertaining multi-player content.
