My sons would rate this a 10, they've been waiting for it for a long time and love it. I rate it a 4 and then +1 for being rating Teen instead of of Mature like Halos past. Warzone is a great game mode. Graphics are great. I can't speak to the story mode as I haven't played it. As a fan of the Halo franchise, I had high hopes for this game. Visually, it's pretty but not awe inspiring and certainly not enough to warrant ditching split screen mode which is one of the cornerstones of the Halo games. The lack of split screen is also one of the biggest flaws a AAA title can have. A console that costs no less than $350, a TV that costs about the same and another copy of the game is the price you have to pay for two people in the same house to play at the same time. Heaven forbid three people in the same house want to play... That just shows how little the game's development and distribution teams care about the players. The biggest disappointment by far is not playing as Master Chief all the way through or even just the same character. I realize it's just my opinion but switching characters in a game ruins the continuity and immersion. "Oh, I guess I'm this guy now..." vastly reduces the investment in the character you are supposed to be. The armor still has the generic feel of Halo 4 unlike Halo Reach where the armor was updated but still had the Halo feel. Halo 4 and Halo 5 armor could almost be in any other game. When it comes to the graphics, 343 seems married to "shiny = better". Before 343, Halo had sort of a gritty organic beauty. Everything in Halo 5 feels synthetic and has too much definition, shine and glare. It feels like nothing was ever used before the player got there. It's still a fun game but my guess is that most people will stop playing it within 6 months of their purchase.

I have always been a fan of Halo and they have generally been great campaigns but 343 has shown they care more about multiplayer than the campaign. The campaign had nothing to do with a "Hunt for the Truth". Disappointed me in that regard because all of the ads and commercials for the game misled what the actual campaign was. Multiplayer is quite a lot of fun but does not make up for the disappointing campaign.

Games are nice and quick, but it takes a lot of time to get in and out of games. Lack of split screen cost this rating a star!

This should not be listed as Halo 5 as the 5th installment to the Master Chief series. It should be titled Halo: Team Osiris. Of the 15 missions you only play as Master Chief 3 times. The rest of the time you play as Agent Locke. This is not what I like. The game is way to easy and the story is lacking and the dramatic dynamic is forced. It is an OK game. As a fan, I am truly dissapointed.

I've been playing Halo since the CE days. While the series has evolved over the years, there's still been that certain quality that set it apart from other games. Halo 5 is a return to the great gunplay that makes the series great. Although I enjoyed Halo 4, it was not my favorite in the series, but Halo 5 vastly outperforms Halo 4 in just about every way. Definitely recommended for any Halo or FPS fan.

It doesn't feel like the Halo that was bungie's baby for so many years. It feels different, but I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing. The whole squad aspect of campaign throws the traditional sense of the series, the PvP aspects work so differently with the micro transaction req system that I honestly don't like because you can buy an advantage over everyone else. All in all it seems like a decent game, but not necessarily a truly great one like Halo 3.
