I spent hours and hours playing the original. Now the remake comes out, after digging deeper into it its easy to see that besides the shiny new visuals there isnt much here to justify charging $40 for it. Few changes have been made, for example the issue of the checkpoint system which becomes apparent when playing it in Legendary difficulty. Where is the multiplayer mode of the original? This game seems to be more of a marketing ploy for the takeover of the Halo franchise by Microsoft.

This is the game that made Xbox what it is today, and the updated graphics are a nice improvement to an already great classic.

Good game for those who still love to play Halo. Graphics are awesome and the game play is still just as great as 10 years ago.

Just as good as I remember it being! I love how they added that feature were if you push the "back" button on the controller when ever you want and the graphics change to the way they use to be in the first Halo! It's amazing!!! And to be honest, I like the graphics better in the first Halo anyways! haha

My son says, "This is a FYE game". He says it brings back memories.

the original halo on the original xbox was the holy grail of gaming for the entire generation. so why did this fail? it left out the multiplayer.. this is nothing more then a campaign remake, with a coupon to download some halo reach map pack with remakes of halo CE maps. halo CE was the best in the series, halo reach is one of the worst of the series, why would anyone think it is a good idea to take the best part of the original and throw it away. for those looking to relive the story, go for it, (rent) at least they did something right as the new graphics look great everything about the story is the same, even the epic warthog physics. if you wanted to relive the lan party feel and the halo CE epicness that defined the generation, avoid this game at all cost. verdict - rent/avoid fun= 8 hours value- $5, any more do not buy. for those falling in love with this, the question is did you PLAY the multiplayer in halo CE... if not, you have no buisness judging

this game is great, but the maps are on reach, gay

I'm a Halo fan, Combat Evolved being my favorite out of the 3. I can't remember how many hours my friends and I spent on Halo CE multiplayer. When i heard that this was happening, i was super excited. That was until I found out that the best part of the game (multiplayer), was just going to be the Halo Reach multiplayer with Halo CE maps included. Halo CE's multiplayer is the best part of Halo CE and to leave it out is insane. Halo CE multiplayer over XboxLive would've been awesome and a dream come true for many HARDCORE Halo fans, but somehow Microsoft has failed us once again.

idk what to think of this. another year, another Halo''.
