I like that it powers off when it's hot. Love the true red color . Looks good on my counter. And love how simple it is to operate. Fill with the water, place on base and push the button.

Nice looking Red Electric Kettle.

The only drawback is that the heat element covers the entire inside bottom of the appliance, so when you pour your water, you hear a disturbing sizzling sound coming from inside the kettle. Never known a kettle to do that in my life. It gets me every time.

Excellent Unit

That said, it's a fine replacement for a much-loved Black & Decker unit that decided to fold its tent after 27 years of service. At 1500 watts, it brings water to a rolling boil in a minute or two, with the generously-proportioned handle remaining cool to the touch. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this kettle to a friend; it's good value.
