Seems to take longer than our previous one. Like the extra wide slice openings. Like the extra lift feature. Not sure about the defrost because when I tried it looks like it toasted it.

Had another well named brand toaster that only toasted on 1 side and would have to take toast out and turn it around to toast the other side . This toast the bread evenly on both sides! Would recommend!
