This Metallica album is pretty darn good, probably my second to third favorite from the group including Death Magnetic and Ride the Lightning. It is great to see that Metallica has gotten back to the roots and throwing down hard and heavy music with No Holds Barred Riffs.

Of course, I feel that way about all of Metallica's music. That's why I named my son James Kirklars Roberts. If people would likely not use the word 'metal' to describe you, then you need this album in your life. You'll be the most metal person your friends know in no time!

After 8 long years, Metallica has come out w/an AMAZING studio release (2 Cd'S) along w/an additional disc full of NEWer songs & a LIVE show in their hometown of San Fran. I've been playing this non-stop since it came out: I highly suggest buying the Deluxe version of this!

I was so looking forward to this release . After listening to a couple of songs , I was hooked. Each song better and better , a cross of Ride the lightning meets Master of puppets. I got the 3 cd version of this release , the live tracks are killer . Go and get this soon !!

Incredible music. Classic Metallica blended with new riffs and powerful vocals. I recommend the deluxe edition just for the additional songs. This is the music I leave in my CD player all the time, so when XM & Pandora feel stale, I have a way to get amped up. Hardwired!

Worth the wait. METALLICA's back with an awesome, one helluva cd. I dare say, one of their best. Sounds like the classic thrash of Metallica's beginings. Love the title track, "Atlas, Rise!" & "Moth Into Flame". Winner of the REVOLVER 2016 Awards for ALBUM OF THE YEAR!

Great follow up to Death Magnetic. Spit out the Bone and Hardwired give some classic thrash. If you listen closely, several songs do share similar riffs to older classics but still have a different sound. Bonus Cd is a nice compliment with live versions of some classics.

Metallica have come back to thier heaviness with this album. The album contains much of their sound from the Black album and Load era with a little of the lightning and master techniques added. Totally relieved to hear this album after the last two left me kinda empty.

I have listened to this I don't know how many times already. I love Hardwired and Moth Into Flame, but my new favorite song has to be Spit Out The Bone. Get the 3 disc version if you can, METALLICA 's cover of I'm a Blind Man and the Rainbow Medley are just awesome.

Forget death magnetic. Was ok...this album HardWired is much better. Comes with a bonus cd with some cover songs. A must purchase for any 5th member. That's right. Metallica fans buy all their albums. I definitely recommend it. Learn the songs. Tour has started.

This is the album fans (or at least me) have been waiting for. As the guys have said in interviews, it's like a combination of Kill 'Em All and the Black album. However, this album has zero fillers. 12 top notch tracks. Give it a few spins and you will agree.

What can you say, these guys have exploded back on the scene with ferocity reminiscent of the old days...thrashy, moody, epic, you name it! Metallica and Megadeth started a metal movement long ago, and are continually schooling the posers. Long live Metallica!

Hardwired....To Self-Distruct is Metallica's first studio album in 8 years.it's such a shame that they take so long between albums but it is definitely well worth the wait. I don't think I need to convince you to buy this album it's Metallica need I say more

I have been waiting 8 years for this and it was worth the wait. The double album and the bonus CD are all you could have asked for as a fan. Hardwired through Spit out the Bone are vintage Metallica from all their years. Really enjoyed this alot! Go get it!

After a couple of (in my opinion) disappointing albums, Metallica has returned to their roots for their latest album. It's not exactly Ride The Lightning or Kill'em All, but it goes back to a similar sound and style that those albums had. Excellent album!

I'll be as honest as possible. I'm a huge fan of Metallica, but I'm rarely biased. This is, by no means, their greatest album or comeback of all-time. However, it is a great album, mostly due to the 1st disc (of the double-album) and the last song of the 2nd disc (spit out the bone). I personally like Death Magnetic better, but this is still not an album to miss!

CD 1 starts fast and doesn't let up. CD 2 is has a reminder of Load / Reload. The last song on disc 2 comes back to Death Magnetic era. Disc 3 has a medley, Lords of Summer, and live show from National Record Day 2016. A must have for an old time 'Talllica fan and it finishes with a live version of Hardwired. I had it on constant play for over a month straight.

Metallica is back! Although I must admit at first listen I was disappointed, it did take me a few days of listening to it on my daily commute to really appreciate this album. I am now obsessed with it. Can NOT stop listening to it. 5 stars all the way!

Metallica's 11th studio album is worth the 8 year wait. It's a nice throwback to their early days, though the songs are quite long in some places. The deluxe edition comes with a nice 3rd disc of b-sides and live cuts. It's a must for any Metalli-fan!
