I started doing YouTube videos of gaming on my PS3 with an ElGato card. It worked well with some of the simpler games, but when I got to the games with higher quality video, it just wouldn't work. I returned it and decided to give this card a try. It's worked so much better and was actually a few bucks cheaper. I haven't had any issues with it recording. I plug in headphones to my computer and with the software, records my voice well while playing. The only advantage the ElGato card had was that the game volume would drop when I spoke so it was easier to hear me, but with this card, as long as I'm speaking clearly, it's not a problem. The editing software could be a little better. I actually use something else for that, but it does have some basic features on it. I would say it's a good card at a low price ideal for beginners.

My son wanted a pvr to use across all platforms since we have every system available. I researched this unit and heard some negatives but other than the cluster of wires needed to hook up and the fact that it needs to be hooked up to a pc or Mac it is a good pvr and I wouid recommend it. Good quality videos and easy to use. I wish it had internal Storage but overall I like it

Been solid so far, good for recording and streaming. Set up wasn't bad, however for the cost, if I had to buy it again I would probably throw 30 more bucks into it and get the elgato HD

The product works well, the only thing that I did not like it's that I had to buy extra software in order to use it on Mac, In Mac I had no issues, but when you use it on PC it has delay so it's hard to play that way, but you can always look at your tv instead of the computer screen

I had the original Hauppauge PVR and I have to say that this one has underwhelmed me. I knew going in that it was not as feature rich, but I was surprised when I could not hook up certain devices without terrible buzzing. There are work arounds for gaming devices which can make settings adjustments, but not for others that worked just fine with the first generation. It's my own fault for waiting too long to test all of my devices with it. The component video dongle wires are easily broken, so beware when using them. I've already needed a replacement from Hauppauge. There are better choices out there for just a little more money.

I bought this device to capture footage from my Xbox One. It captures great quality footage and is easy to use with the ability to just push a button to start the capture.

This is a good capture card, especially for beginners. Easy to use and good quality.

I puchased this capture card for my son. I was very simple to connect and the instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I would recommend this product to anyone thats into gaming.

I bought this to capture some game footage to share with a friend who lives far away since we don't play on the same console. I got it at a good price, it came with all the necessary cords, seemed well made, and was easy to set up. The capture software wasn't compatible with my computer unfortunately and kept triggering my anti-virus protection for some reason. Even when I marked it as safe it still wouldn't work. I double checked and I was pretty sure this would work with my computer, but I guess I was wrong. At least returning it was easy. Customer service was excellent in that regard.

I've used hauppauge products for about ten years now and have always been satisfied. Downloaded hauppauge capture from website instead of using included cd after reading some other reviews that cd software is not good. Setup took about 3 minutes and everything worked fine. Have had for about 2 months now and I still love this product! capture has a few second delay, but that's ok by me.

Trying to stream? Want to get into it without spending to much money? Look no further, buy this! Dont use this on a mac, just dont. Quality is good, but not the best out there.

The only real issue was we thought you would be able to play the game from the PC monitor while recording. The lag made it impossible. So you have to have a complete game system and TV plus the PC and monitor to be able to record anything. Same with PC game play. It takes 2 PC's and monitors, one to record and one to play from.

Works well. Need fast gaming computer to get full 1080. Other wise it may lag.

Captures perfect footage for all game consoles old and new! Great quality and very easy to use as well!

I pray this is the best laptop for second year college students as the associate recommended. We'll find out soon. So far she is satisfied.

The only issue I have is the software. As I am a Mac user, software I use comes with very basic options as compared to widows software.

Got my son this video game recorder for Xmas and he loves it. It's very easy to use and understandable. My young son set it up by himself and learned to use it without any help. Hasn't stopped using it since Xmas!

My son uses it all the time. PC required and you need one with a decent graphics card to avoid a choppy screen.

Works great for live streaming our Storm Chases here in Arkansas. Even used it to chase storms in Oklahoma and streamed for 10 hrs using a i3 laptop and hotspot w iphone6+ w ATT

It's a good product but lags just a little bit not bad enough for me not to recommend it
