I recommend this doc. to all Hendrix fans. It is very interesting and well produced. It provides insight into the creative genius of the guitar wizard. He was ahead of his time and he took the electric guitar to new levels of expression. I own all the Hendrix CDS and DVDS and I highly recommend this to the serious Hendrix fan.

Who doesn't like Jimi Hendrix? This guy came from nothing and became a legend before he reached 30. A tragic loss to the music world!! Have you ever been experienced?!!! If you haven't experienced his music, your missing out Bigtime!!!

If your picking this up for the documentary, then you know what your in for, but if your getting it for the bonus live footage,like I did,then your going to be disappointed.The first piece of footage is cool,but short,after that it gets progressively worse. Each section of live material gets more and more into the vein of bootleg quality, the audio isn't so bad but the video portion is rediculously bad. Even though it is explained why before each segment on the film, it don't make up for the fact that you have no idea of this by reading the packaging before you purchase the disc. Once again, we're duped into thinking we're getting all this great rare footage, when all we are getting is a small bit of good footage and a lot of stuff we will never care to watch again. sorry Jimi,we know it's not your fault.

Nice documentary of a Guitar Legend. Worth getting if you are a Hendrix fan like myself.
