    I was surprised to see this movie as I had not seen it in years. There is a lot of gratuitous nudity and is definitely not for children. The soundtrack for the movie is pretty good though.

    4K animation will always impress me and I was also happy with the Blu-ray copy of HM2000. The soundtrack sounded good but the effects were a bit flat. Might be tje age of the original, dunno

    It had been a few years since I had seen Heavy Metal. Original and innovative at the time, the animation now seems dated, very simplistic. The quality of the stories and the voice acting varies. The special features on the making of the movie are interesting. Heavy Metal 2000 is an animated version of the comic book series Fakk (I think the name was changed to cash in on Heavy Metal). The animation is far better than Heavy Metal, but it is an average story and has nothing to do with the original. The steelbook itself is quite nice.

    Didn't know what to expect. It is very 80's and that type of mindset does run throughout the film. It turned out to have a great soundtrack and it's somewhat original for its time.
