Customers are positive about the picture quality, price, setup, design, remote control, HDR, upscaling, connectivity, and refresh rate. They appreciate the excellent picture quality and speed, find the TV to be a great value for the price, and mention that it is easy to set up. Customers also love the beautiful design, the inclusion of a real remote, and the improved HDR and upscaling capabilities. Additionally, they appreciate the good connectivity options and the 120hz refresh rate.On the downside, customers are negative about the smart TV features, motion blur, and limited apps. They express dissatisfaction with the limited selection of apps, the presence of mostly unknown apps in the app store, and the limited functionality of the Opera platform. Some customers also experience motion blur, but this can be resolved by turning off the motion enhancement feature.

You won't get a better TV for the price, not a chance. I've used this TV for several days now with different uses and have been left extremely impressed.
So being 65" the set is large and that's the entire point and it's delightful. It's not heavy and mounted on my stand with no issues at all. The tv is slim and has a great array of ports including 4 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports.
I watched my soccer game this morning through my Cable box and after calibrating the screen settings I can say the picture quality is top notch. Everything is clear, crisp and detailed. The green grass looked awesome in the sun, the kits of the two teams popped and the action was very smooth. Some tv's can get judder especially 60hz tv's but with this being the Plus model it comes with the 120hz screen and it really does a great job keeping up with the action.
Talking of action we also watched a UHD movie on Friday night. We watched the new Spiderman and wow. The details on his suits are so clear, the red and blue really pop and NY city looks stunning. When the seems got dark the black are very good, very black without crushing the shadows and such. It retains details in the dark areas which is something other sets of this cost really don't do well, this one does. The details and clarity are amazing and watching a film like this on this TV is like a whole new world.
I've used this set extensively for gaming, I console game and love the large screen area. With some tv's motion can be an issue where you may get blurr or shadows, not with the TV. My PS4 Pro loved this TV, from racing to twitch gaming on First person shooters this TV kept up thanks to that 120hz panel. Everything worked with no artifacts. Everything was so smooth and another super impressive thing is the fact I felt no input lag which is what is needed when you game.
Overall this TV is fantastic. It's big, it's bright, it has good blacks, great details and super smooth motion. If you're in the market for a new TV and want to get the most you can from your budget then you will not regret buying this

Bright and Clear With Great Color Reproduction

It looks like Hisense has seriously upped its game this year with TVs designed to compete against the better known brands in this country. The H9D series of smart TVs all sport Hisense’s own proprietary ULED screens that are bright and colorful with strong contrast and rich blacks - all support high dynamic range (HDR) content - all have 4K UHD upscaling, dbx-tv® audio, and bluetooth 4.0 sound output. Motion rate and dimming vary by specific model and size - my 65” model is a H9D Plus with a motion rate of 480 and edge-lit local dimming (direct-lit local dimming is only available on larger models).
This unit is Netflix certified and streaming their Ultra HD 4K content is spectacular (as is their HD content). The higher motion rate on this model is supposed to insure ultra-smooth reproduction in content with significant action (e.g. sports and anything that has a spaceship or chase scene in it) - apparently the actual physical display has a 120-Hz refresh rate, but the system does some image processing and smoothing to help display rapid movement (I have read a lot of criticism of these technologies but haven’t noticed any interpolation problems here - action sequences look great). The UHD upscaler feature improves the reproduction of older (non-HD) content in the higher-resolution environment - I found that the upscaling worked surprisingly well even with terrible Youtube content.
But Netflix aside, this Hisense ULED screen is a winner in general - I think the images I’m getting are stunning. Details in low-light scenes are particularly impressive. The Hisense site suggests that their ULED technology is crucial for, among other things, a feeling of self-worth (I’m not kidding) - if you find your own self-worth through other means, I don’t think that makes this TV any less visually impressive. It’s gorgeous.
The sound is strong and clear with very little distortion but it is no match for the scope and quality of the image on this TV - you should probably consider adding an improved external sound source for the best possible experience.
The only thing that needs significant improvement is the remote control - it is almost artificially large (9” by 2”) and is clunky and unintuitive - it feels like it was designed for people who spend more time streaming content than they do watching cable TV (just in terms of how the remote fits in the hand and where the various buttons are located). The buttons on the remote are not backlit (FWIW).
The surface of the screen is a little reflective - you might have a problem if you’re planning to mount this TV opposite some windows or in a room that is going to be very brightly lit - I know this is a problem with a LOT of TVs so it’s a good idea to consider it with any TV you might be looking at (see what the reflections look like when the TV is turned off - some TVs are mega-shiny!).
Long story short, though: this Hisense H9D Plus is going to be a great addition to my home. I love it.

Excellent 4K HDR TV with a few hiccups

First of all, if you are wall mounting this TV, please don't try and do what I did and attempt to do it yourself. I had a 50" TV previously mounted that I took off to try and put this TV in its spot instead. I am a 6' 220lb guy and I have never had issues before mounting TV's on my own. Well this was a problem. The TV itself isn't that bad, it's about 75-80 lbs, but the huge size of the TV is what causes issues. I spent about 3 hours trying to raise this TV up to the mount, and I ran into issues getting it to the correct height of the mount, and then even getting the hooks on the TV mount piece to latch on to the wall mount piece. Needless to say, I killed my back and the rest of my body, and felt it for the next few days ha. Be safe and use atleast 2 people to mount this TV. I ended up just buying a new TV entertainment stand and decided against a wall mount.
Now that I have provided my safety instructions, on to the actual TV!
This is my first go with a 4K TV. That being said, I had done plenty of research on other sites for reviews on 4K setups. Hisense is not currently a major known brand in the US, but I also remember Vizio not being known at all, and nowadays they are highly competitive with major brand names.
The Hisense H9 series comes in 2 models. The H9, and the H9 plus. From my understanding, the only difference is the H9 plus is 120hz, while the standard H9 is 60hz.
I was concerned with shipping that a TV this big and this thin would be damaged, but that was not the case. The box and TV are well packaged with styrofoam. After my initial issues (read above) regarding setting the TV up, everything went smooth. When I first turned the TV on, I completed a few steps, including connecting to wifi, and a software update that took a few minutes. This TV has 4 HDMI ports, but only 2 are for 4K 60HZ. The other 2 are standard 30HZ HDMI ports, and therefore are not for 4K. I ended up hooking my XBOX One S (which includes 4K HDR10) into port 1.
Now onto the good stuff, how does the TV look!?
Pros:
-Pure Size. You can't beat a 65" TV. Myself I was looking originally into a 70"-75", but in reality, I'm glad I did not go that big. This 65" is HUGE! For the price, it's good.
-HDR Gaming - I used my Xbox One S, and tested a few games, and wow it's stunning. The TV has a dedicated preset called "HDR GAMING" that I think is wonderful.
-HDR Movies - I tested 2 REAL 4K movies (Meaning they were shot on film, or shot and preserved at a rate higher than 4K). Blade Runner the Final Cut, and Power Rangers. Both really shine on the format. Details are crisp. Power Rangers really takes advantage of the HDR format in the colors it shows. Now I know this set can't produce a high color gamut range, but for what it does do, it's excellent.
-Digital TV channels - Watching football on this TV is excellent. Hardly no motion blur. Lots of features and presets you can adjust to get this just right.
-Apps - I used Netflix and Vudu (both which have dedicated buttons on the remote!), and had no issues. I enjoyed the simplicity of the apps.
Cons:
-Video Preset Continuity - Now I don't know if I just haven't mastered this TV yet, but I just can't seem to get the TV video presets to stick. I go through the hassle of adjusting all the video presets while watching a HDR movie (Color, Tint, Contrast, Backlight, etc.), and get them just right, but when I switch to say a Video Game, or Standard TV, then switch back to the movie HDMI port hours later, it switches me back to a "standard" video preset. It's quite annoying actually and not just with movies. I can change the presets for live TV watching, and get them just right, but if I switch to Netflix, then switch back, it never saves my presets.
Again not sure if it is just a "user" error, but I have gone over every single option in the menu I believe.
-Standard TV viewing - I think this is due to the sheer 65" size of the TV, but if you are like me and use a digital antennae for live TV, then you know that you get alot of digital channels, but also have a ton of standard definition channels. You might say these channels are usually a little "grainy" or "fuzzy". Still watchable, just not high definition. Well with this TV, those channels just do not look that great. Again, they are watchable, but not to the quality they were on my 50" Vizio TV, so I think it's just due to the size.
-Edge Light Bleed - Like many 4K tv's this panel is edgelit, and therefore when watching dark movies, during any black scenes, or movies where it's letterbox(meaning the top and bottom of the movie have black strips), you will see the white light "bleeding" through. During the beginning of Blade Runner, when the credits first start rolling, the screen is completely black otherwise, and it was highly noticeable on the edges. Kind of annoying, but once the movie get's going you tend to forget about it and your eyes aren't' drawn to it as much. I have not used or seen a "backlit" panel, but supposedly that type of panel lighting eliminates this issue.
-Another minor complaint which I will throw in to be fully transparent is the fact that the remote itself is not backlit. If you watch alot of movies in the dark, or tv or gaming in the dark, it's hard to see the buttons on the remote without a backlight for the remote keys.
Overall this is an excellent TV for the price. Hisense is slowly making a positive name for itself here in the states.

Hisense has done a great job with this TV and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid TV with a great picture. Setup out of the box is easy but with this size TV you'll need two people to lay it down to install the feet or VESA mount for a wall mount setup. Once put together or mounted it's easy to connect and setup the Smart features of the TV. It has plenty of connection options. You can connect 4 HDMI ports so you can connect multiple sources.
Performance wise the TV is quick to load apps and smart features and turns on quick. The included remote works well and is a universal remote so can be setup to work with other devices.
Picture quality is great, and while words are hard to describe I would say this TV's picture is awesome. The colors are bright and sharp and the blacks are pretty good. By nature of being an edge lit display there is some light bleed if you look really close on an all back screen but in most cases will not be noticeable. Up-scaling for HD to 4K works great, and the smooth motion is a must have for sports or movie.
The TV has all of the most popular apps that you'll probably use (Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, etc.) and you can search for and install from a selection of many others. Because it connects to your Wifi (or Ethernet) you can use the Miracast to mirror the screen to a tablet, phone or PC. You can also cast to the TV from these devices as well as mirroring the screen.
From the overall great looking picture, speed and ease of use I'd highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a UHD/4K TV with HDR.

All the TVs I have are Samsung and they are make a great product. I have a 50” 4K one that I have had for about 4 years and it’s awesome. I wanted a larger TV for my livingroom so I took a look at this 65” Hisense. I will tell you right off the bat I was a skeptic. With something like this you usually get what you pay for. Hisense is much more economically priced and for a 4K TV it’s a solid a deal. So you have to ask yourself “why?”
Let me say I’m not an expert in TVs by any means. I like what I like and I consider myself to be an educated consumer for sure.
One thing I learned when TV shopping is that aside from the vivid colors a TV can produce, you should look at just how black or dark the screen can get. The Hisense does pretty well. The difference between what my Samsung can do and what this Hisense can do comes down to stats produced by experts. I say this because if there is a difference then I don’t see it.
So the picture is great. But this is a Smart TV right? So I’m this aspect I was not totally impressed. It uses an Opera platform and the apps are somewhat limited. I am a cut the cord type of person and I stream everything. This includes live TV. I was shocked to see that there was no app for Hulu?! Even a $300-400 Roku TV will give you that, so that was a disappointment for me. No slingTV either.
The remote is very basic. No voice option, just a basic remote. It does work well and the layout is very natural and intuitive so that is a good thing.
All and all it’s a solid performer for the money. This kind of TV and size of TV is an investment. This is an option worth taking a look at. The streaming options work well with our internet that runs at about a 150-200 mbps speed and that’s what I wanted. It is attractive and looks nice displayed. Definitely on par with its competition. All and all it’s a great product, only limited by the Opera platform. I would still recommend it to a friend, but I’d also tell them to stick a Roku stick or Amazon fire stick in the TV for more options.

for the price, this is one of the best televisions I've used. Are there better TV's out there? Absolutely, but you'll pay for it.
Whats in the box: Manual, remote, stand, power cable. Not much in there, but everything you need to get started.
Features: Tons of smart TV features built in. Weather apps, Netflix, Amazon video etc. There are buttons on the remote that give you quick access to some of the video apps. All of the menu's and apps are quick to respond and don't seem to lag much. 4k resolution with HDR, LED backlit with local dimming (it says edge lit local dimming....not quite sure how that works, but that's what it says). More on video quality below. HDMI-CEC control is a bit glitchy. For the most part it works, except sometimes my audio receiver will turn back on when its not supposed to. Otherwise the CEC works fine. The built in speakers are not that great. VERY tinny sounding. Use a soundbar or some sort of other speakers!
Picture quality: I"m honestly surprised at how good this TV looks. I'm pretty pick with video quality, and was a longtime fan of plasma TV's to get true blacks etc. This TV isn't perfect, but for the price you can't beat it. Black appears very dark and true and there doesn't seem to be much, if any, edge light bleeding or flash-lighting.. I use the "Theater" setting and tweaked the color and a few other settings. I always turn off all motion type settings on TVs so you don't get the "soap opera effect". I leave the digital noise reduction on a low setting to help with lower quality inputs (IE satellite TV 1080i)
You do notice some motion jittering at times with fast movement and a lower quality input, but with a 4K source, I don't notice any breaking up or jittering.
All in all: very good picture quality with some motion blur with a lower quality source video. Black color is fantastic, all other colors are fairly good out of the box, and with a little tweaking you can get pretty accurate colors. I haven't professionally calibrated this TV, but it looks pretty good compared to my plasma that has been professionally calibrated.

This is a gorgeous TV. Most big-screen TVs have either basic black or shiny chrome on the bezels, but Hisense went with a softer gun-metal grey color which doesn't stand out while watching TV while still having a very premium look.
Most important is the screen, which, I must say, looks fantastic. The picture is amazingly clear, and colors are nice and vibrant without looking like the contrast is over-done.
Connections: You don't really need to worry about connecting different devices. There are 4 HDMI plugs (2 parallel to the back in case you're wall-mounting, and 2 more perpendicular to the back). There are 3 different USB ports (2 type II, 1 type III), so you shouldn't have a problem finding one for displaying pictures or powering a Fire Stick or other such device. There is also RCA connections, in case you have more of a legacy device with the red/white/yellow plugs (or the 6-plug version).
Smart features: There are actually a good number of streaming options available through the already-provided apps. You can stream from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, Vudo, Fandango, Pandora, and iHeartRadio, amongst other smaller services. There is also a built-in web-browser. No Hulu, but I haven't seen a lot of smart-devices with this Hulu by default, so I don't feel this really counts against the Hisense.
Simply beautiful, but follow their advice and have a second person help you get it out of the box and set it up. Mine slipped, but thankfully was unharmed.

The TV is very well packed, mine shipped from California and no damage. This is a good looking unit, the stainless edges are thin but add a nice touch. The back panel is not plastic, it is metal which may explain the weight of the unit. All in all looks like a quality build on the exterior.
Unpacked, set up and ready to go I started with regular TV through my HD cable box. I like the built in feet for the stand, once attached they are sturdy and look very nice. I modified the sound and picture setting to my liking then for the review used theater mode.
I like the remote, big enough to feel good in my hand and small enough to not be a paperweight. The only complaint I have would be for a backlight..somewhere on it.
Connections are plentiful and there are two 60 HZ HDMI ports which support the 2.0 standard. The wireless connection worked flawessly and once connected to my network I set up Netflix and Amazon. I set up the free 30 day trial of Netflix and immediately started binge watching.
The picture color and quality was excellent. This rivals my other brand name 55" 4K TV with no question. I watched some high intensity scenes from some Marvel, DC and Jason Bourne movies to test the motion flow. No pixelation I could see. The blacks are black, not grey and the colors are all very vivid.
As it happens there are not a lot of options for built in streaming services but in this case it has the two I subscribe to, Netflix and Amazon so I win in this scenario. This is a quick fix if you add a smart DVD player or other streaming player.
The built in audio is just meh but on par with other TV's in this category. Ideally a sound bar or receiver is a better choice unless perhaps you are just going to watch only an occasional movie.
All in all I would recommend the Hisense TV as a good value and would compare it to any of the big brand TV's out there in terms of picture quality. If you are looking for more streaming services built in you may want to look elsewhere for the price point.

I have to say that I am impressed with the Hisense 65H9D smart TV. This is replacing a Sharp 50" Roku TV in my living room and I must say that I am stunned by the picture quality of this television. It has really good contrast and color, which makes watching movies great! My son son enjoys watching his cartoons on this this TV and barely wants to let me catch a game.
Another small thing that really caught my eye was the ethernet port option for connectivity. I find it more reliable to hardwire things like this, and I find this to be a big benefit for me. The Hisense 65H9D TV also comes equipped with plenty of HDMI, USB, and audio ports with some easily accessible from the side of the TV.
The Hisense 65H9D Smart TV also looks amazing. The design is very appealing, and really makes it look like a much more expensive TV. It has a very sleek design, and is also thin and lightweight. As for the remote control, I am not a big on the miniature Roku TV controls. I find it somewhat inconvenient to have to go through plenty of steps just to get to a channel that I want. This TV comes with a real remote!
A downside for the Hisense 65H9D is that it does lack some apps, which I am hoping that they will get this cleared away and offer more variety. This would be the only downside of this TV.
I would say that for the money you are getting a pretty good product. I'm definitely ready for the Superbowl now.
I would recommend this to anybody who is on a budget and looking for a 65" TV.

I didn't know or hear much about this brand Hisense to start out with so I did a little research before diving in. Come to find out that this particular brand is one of the most popular overseas in Asia. So I figured since I am an avid Samsung t.v. fan why not give it a chance. Upon getting this 65" beast home (very heavy), I made sure to be very careful unpacking it from the box since it has a thin LED screen. After getting it out of the box, it was a much thinner screen than I realized. This t.v is beautiful!!!! There is almost nothing to it.... it is all screen (very thin) with speaker enclosures towards the bottom back. Other than that I could not see how this t.v. was going to perform with little to no extra visible hardware. There are very thin bezels hugging the 65"'s of LED so what you see is what you get. I'm not going over the specs because there are too many to list and they are easy found on the box and enclosed booklet. But it has more than enough inputs for all your devices. Something that I always felt lacked on the other big brands.
Now, like I said before this t.v. is beautiful aesthetically so I hoped the same for the image.... I was not disappointed! First powering it on the Hisense logo comes on very underwhelming, but the menu seems crisp and bright. Went thru the setup and it was a breeze. Now time to play. I cut the cable awhile ago and use streaming services with my Amazon Firestick. This is the standard Alexa FireStick so I'm not sure if it has true 4K capabilities coming from it. Anyways, I fire up my live t.v. streaming service and was truly amazed of the quality of both the picture and sound. First I must say, I thought nothing compared to my previous Samsung but this Hisense is definitely giving it a run and quite possibly surpassed it! The Hisense has vibrant rich colors and deep rich blacks. I never understood why people always talked about deep black colors on the t.v. before but now I understand. I was watching a movie with dark tunnel scenes and I could see details that I never could before. I was in awe and wondered why I they would make movie scenes so dark that we could see what was going on. It was so good that the widescreen black bars on the top and bottom screen blended perfectly with the portions of black from the scenes intended to be borders or whatever. There was no faded look or grey blacks. Truly amazing to be able to tell the difference now. The resolution being streamed from my firestick looked ultra HD and was blur free during fast motion scenes. It felt as if I was thrown into the movie and action.
Now I have a sound bar but wanted to hear the sound from those enclosed speakers on the back of this thing. I know we have all been disappointed by tinny undeveloped sound from big screen t.v.'s. The sound from this Hisense has been the most satisfying from any big screen t.v. I've owned. If I didn't have my sound bar prior to hooking this Hisense up, I probably could've waited to purchase one. It has clear deep sound, although still has that small hint of tin sound. It has an adjustable equalizer in the settings to fine tune to your preference but I didn't feel the need to mess with that. It also offers a true surround feature for desk mount or wall mount to direct the sound depending on how it is set up. Mine is wall mounted and I turned this feature on, then cranked the volume.... it held its own and the speakers produced a loud full surround like feeling. I was truly impressed and happy with everything with the Hisense so far.
Now to test the smart features and wifi connectivity. I do use my firestick for most of the apps that are available with the Hisense but the remote that is included comes with dedicated buttons to Netflix, Amazon, Youtube and a few others so why not try it out. I pushed the Netflix button while watching a movie and it immediately switched over with no delay or circling clock. I signed in and it worked flawlessly, no buffering, no waiting, no errors. Not sure if it is my wifi but I had the same wifi with other smart t.v.'s and they did not work this fast. I searched for 4K movies and started playing one. Wow. The picture, the colors, the motion, the sound, all impressive for a Brand of t.v. I know nothing about. I then pressed the YouTube button on the remote, again a flawless transition into this app. Started playing 4k test videos from YouTube.... all I can say is Hisense may be a game changer for the other big Brands at the box stores real soon. This 65" 4K Hisense will not break the bank and will get you into the 4K revolution. I cant speak for the durability of this this t.v. and how long it will last compared to the other brands such as Samsung, because my Samsungs lasted a very long time, but only time will tell. The Hisense is very thin and feels fragile when handling so you will have to be very careful when mounting to the wall. But it looks amazing once mounted! Do not hesitate to make a change if you want to try another Brand like this, I did and I'm happy that I did so far.

It's safe to safe to say that if you're spending under $1000 on a 65" 4K UHD Smart TV right now, it's not going to be the absolute top of the line. However, if you want a good, solid 65" 4K UHD Smart TV and you don't want to pay several thousand dollars for it, this is the way to go. My previous TV was a 50" HD, and the picture on it wasn't bad. But you can definitely see the difference with this Hisense and it's 4K UHD. I know I'm not getting the full advantage of it, but the picture is still very clear and crisp.
As far as set-up goes...putting it on the TV stand or mounting it is definitely a two person job. This thing is heavy and not going anywhere now that we have it in place. Getting everything hooked up to it (cable box, PS4, etc.) was very smooth and quick, just took a couple of minutes. Took another couple of minutes to get the TV up and running on my wifi network and I haven't had any connectivity issues. Love the shortcut buttons on the remote for Netflix, YouTube, etc.
Bottom line is this, if you want a solid, affordable 4K Smart TV, this is the way to go.

I decided to replace my 9-year-old 46" Samsung TV with this TV and so far I've been extremely pleased with it. After adjusting the picture mode to get the colors how I like them, I was perfectly pleased with the picture quality. I think the clear viewing angle may be narrower than on some TVs, but in the room I'm using it that won't be an issue at all. I was also very pleasantly surprised with the speaker quality--it is by far much louder and clearer than the old Samsung.
As far as the installed apps, it has Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and Vudu. There are a few more apps available through their Opera TV platform. However, if you use Hulu, Playstation Vue, etc. then you'll be out of luck and will need to use something like an external Roku. I use PS Vue so I'll be keeping my Roku, but it is nice to have the YouTube and Amazon apps built in with quick access on the remote. One thing I did discover right away was the old HDMI cable I used between the Roku and my old TV did NOT work consistently with the new TV. Fortunately, I had a better cable available and that one worked just fine.
The TV comes with a set of feet if you're going to set it on a table top, but I opted to wall mount it which worked very well. However, the TV is 70lbs and somewhat unwieldy to handle, so it was about the maximum my wife and I could safely get up on the wall. You may want to keep that in mind if you plan to wall mount it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this TV and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend. I'm loving it so far!

I have several UHD televisions and I this is my first Hisense. The setup was very easy and straight forward and it allows for four HDMI devices. The stands were easy to attach and the initial update was very straight forward, fast and easy to apply.
I'll start with the screen resolution. It was very nice, crisp and very clear. I was immediately impressed with the football and basketball games that I was watching. The refresh was seamless and there were no delays, even with the fast moving games that I was watching
The sound is better than average for a thin television. While flat screen televisions are often tinny, this was was descent compared to others that I own.
I tested my satellite television, Netflix and Amazon Video and had no problems with any of them. The picture quality was impressive with all three options.
WiFi was also very easy to set up and the on screen keyboard was easy to navigate.
All in all, this is a very nice device and looks nice as well.

A Solid TV

Overall this is a solid TV with lots of options, versatility and good picture quality. There are a few quirks that I've run into that keep me from giving it five stars and I'll mention them below.
On the plus side, the TV has good picture quality, but be sure to adjust the picture settings because out of the box the picture was a little dull. You can easily change the picture by simply hitting the picture button on the remote. Some of the settings are much brighter and crisp than others. The sound quality is also pretty good and really high volume if you need it. The smart TV functions are also integrated nicely and easy to get to. There is a button on the remote to go directly to some of the top apps like Netflix and YouTube. When connected to smart devices (we use Fire Stick, Dish Hopper, and ChromeCast) the TV usually turns itself on when the device is activated. I also like how fast the TV turns on. There is hardly any wait at all or warm up time. And finally, the overall design of the TV is sleek and slim (much thinner than many other TVs), which is especially nice if you are mounting it to a wall.
On the negative side, there were a few quirks that I ran into. First, there was a sound issue that every time I paused, forwarded or did anything with my DVR there was a scratchy noise on the TV. This didn't happen with any of my other 4 TVs so it bothered me at first. After a while, I was able to get rid of it by turning the Sound Leveling feature off on my DVR. After that, the sound was really loud even at low levels (like 10 out of 100), but seems to work fine. Another quirk was with the YouTube app. Our family had a difficult time connecting more than one device at a time. Eventually we got it to work but not consistently. I am hoping it is a software glitch than will remedy itself in an update. And finally, I had trouble connecting Bluetooth headphones to the TV. I was able to connect them but the sound volume was so low (even on max) that I could barely hear the TV. Since the Bluetooth settings are under "network" options, perhaps Bluetooth isn't intended to connect to headphones. My Bluetooth speaker seemed to work fine.
Overall, while there were a few quirks, this TV is a solid purchase and does all the important things a TV should do very well. I would recommend it.
