I'm so glad I discovered the Hitman game, because the social stealth and methodical gameplay is right up my alley. I was able to pick up the gold edition on Black Friday/Cyber Monday for less than $50, otherwise I'd generally say to wait a while for the complete edition, since I think $100 for a game is silly. If you haven't played Hitman 1 yet, get both of them but only play Hitman 2, since you can start the story from the beginning in the second game if you buy the stuff to unlock the first game's content. Hitman 2 is really just more of Hitman 1, which is fine by me. You get more locations and more stuff to unlock, but the basic gameplay is pretty much all the same. They do the thing where they have seasonal or temporary content, which I don't like as a general rule but I think works okay with this game. The major downside for me is that instead of the nice cutscenes in the first game, they're basically slide shows, which comes across as very cheap and lazy. (I understand they did this for budget reasons, but it still looks cheap and lazy, especially after the high quality cutscenes of the first game.) Some people say that no one cares about the story in Hitman, but I always care about the story, and I think the story here is pretty decent, considering how short it is. It ends with a reveal that really makes me excited to get Hitman 3. Maybe they'll be able to get money for proper cutscenes in the next one. TLDR: excellent game for people who like social stealth and thoughtful gameplay with lots of options.

Hitman 2 is still very similar to Hitman 2016 but has refined the already great stealth gameplay further. The game features six locations at launch that offer tons of replayability. Also if you own the first game you can import all of the locations from that into the second game for free and play them with better visuals and the new gameplay mechanics. The Gold edition also includes the first 2 expansions when they launch and with my GCU price I couldn't beat it. It's a great game.

I still feel Hitman 2 -Silent Assassin was the best series, this one will come a close second! Good story, great game - must buy for all Hitman game lovers.

Not 100% complete yet, but it has been fun. As a Hitman fan only since the 2016 reboot, I do not have the insight into how this series has progressed. This game is a bit too similar to the 2016 gameplay-wise - it feels more like the same Hitman but with new locations. So, if you didn't like Hitman 2016, you probably won't like this either. Great game with all the dlc and future dlc available

Apparently I already bought this game digitally, along with the season pass, when it was on sale on the PStore. I was able to return this unopened no problem. It's a really good game, as is the first installment of this new Hitman franchise. And Hitman 3 is right around the corner!

If you loved the first Hitman in this series, you'll love this game. Guaranteed. If you haven't tried the new Hitman, now is the time. If you have an inkling that you might like this game, you will. There are few ppl I wouldn't recommend it to. It's fun, smart and endlessly engaging. Top tier game.

Much kudos to IO Interactive for letting owners of Hitman (2016) to upgrade their copies of Hitman 2 and include all levels. Developers and I'm eyeing you Bungie should support their prior games within new releases.

If you liked hitman 1 then you will like this game. It is more of a second season from the first game but still very enjoyable. There aren’t many new weapons but that’s okay because this is a stealth game. There are endless ways to take our targets. All in all it’s a good buy.

The game is very similar to Hitman 1, you just get a bunch more missions. If you liked Hitman 1 you’ll love this game also. Gameplay is basically really same. Good missions and great character interactivity and millions of possibilities.

Everything a fan of the series can and has asked for, the return of the briefcase being the biggest bit of fan service I asked for! All the levels and the attention to detail! Its great and any Hitman fan or even any stealth genre fan would love it!

If you like Hitman games, or stealth game in general, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up. It starts where Hitman (2016) left off, and refines everything to be the best version of the series so far.

I've been waiting awhile for this game. In my family the first one went over very well and now the second is going to be a gift. We are ready!

This is my new favorite game. Infinite ways to play and so many great locations. So much fun. And ghost mode is a great new addition.

There is no way to go wrong with The Hitman series! So many ways to experience Agent 47...and it looks better than ever of course.

This is one of my favorite game franchises due to the in depth game mechanics and exploration of assassination possibilities.
