This CD has an excellent sound; no detectable clipping for a change. There are also a couple of instant classics: HARDROCKLOVER and 1000 X's & O's. He's also experimenting with a more millennial sound. It's always nice to see him try different styles.

Some have called this album a return to form from Prince, but as a lifetime appreciator of this incredible Genius I can say that anyone who follows his work knows he will always give you Funky & Fresh music. If all you care about is Purple Rain than this album will not be for you and you can live in the past, but for those who want something new, hot, funky, fun, and fresh this album is for you. All I can say is that you better fasten your seatbelt when you play this because this is one amazing and fast ride.

Long-time Prince fan here, really enjoyed the new CD. Several solid tracks, though I prefer the original for "This Could B Us" on AOA. Fave tracks: "Fallinlove2nite", "X's Face", "1000 X's and O's", and "June". "Mr. Nelson" is a nice interlude with top notch guitar work. Would like to see Prince do more promotion for his work. So many people are missing the boat!

This Album is Different Than what you normally would hear from His Royal Badness But I Guess Prince is trying New Sounds And Production And Such I Like The Album As A Whole And I Like Prince As Well As One of The Best Artist Ever!!!! If You Like Prince I think You Will Enjoy this offering

This is a solid funk album from Prince. It takes a few listens to get into, but once you do, it's a satisfying listen, although it lacks any standout moments. It starts off with samples from 1999 and Let's Go Crazy, but unfortunately there's no monster hit like that on this album.

As a lifelong Prince fan, I'm been through some ups and downs, and more downs than ups this past decade or so. The last few and this one included are feeling pretty darn good again. Hardrock Lover definitely gets a "oh ya" when it comes on, while the rest get "ya, that's good."

When I purchased this CD, I didn't know what to expect from Prince because I had only heard one song on the radio and it was good. If you liked the Purple Rain era than you will love this CD,because it has that vibe and the songs are very good.

I really like this new CD! Prince is just amazing. There are songs that sound like they could have been released 20 years ago and been major hits,, and then others that are new and fresh that only Prince can create. Love it!

This Prince album is pretty good. It's better than some of his other latest output. Best Buy's price was a bit high though compared to other places. Didn't find that out until after the fact though.

Best album by Prince in years .Prince is timeless, he just gets better with age. My favorite tracks are "Hardrocklover" and "June". Highly recommended if you want a fun upbeat album by a legend.

Full disclosure - Lifelong Prince fan here. I own every Prince album released to the general public until now. Like all Prince releases, I don't need a review to know I want it. One of the rare artists who hold this distinction for me. That said, "HitNRun" was just "OK" for me. No track stood out for me, yet I don't regret the purchase or the listen. I recommend this only for die-hard Prince fans like myself. Selected "no" for whether I'd recommend to a friend or not, because I don't have any hardcore Prince fans among my friends.

It's Prince, great music as usual... Some people may not like it because he has a lot of people on here won him, but again it's Prince... Always great to me!!!!

His new stuff is pretty catchy and i could see it in certain clubs. However it will never be anything like his old school material, but Prince is the man

What can I say? It's Prince. I was not aware of the release until I ran into the CD at the store. As usual, Prince does not dissapoint!

Very good CD overall. A little bit of new sound added to the solid style that you would expect from Prince.

WHAT CAN YOU REALLY SAY ABOUT THIS MAN THAT PUTS OUT CD'S AFTER CD'S THAT MAKE YOU WONDER....WHAT'S NEW?

It is a classic mix of new and old Prince. Some funk and rock. If you like Prince you will like this.

What can I say? It's Prince! Great album in true Prince form. You can't go wrong with this album.

I'm a long time, die-hard fan and this is a great album. A great addition to the Prince canon.
