Love the set up! Finally a smart home controller that makes is easy to set up automations from a lot of different brands and control them from one app. Must have for smart home starters.

The device is super convenient and easy to set up. It doesn’t have support for Apple HomeKit, but it does have support for Google Home and Alexa. The downfall about this device is that you need to pay for subscription to add more than five devices. The amount of money you’ll spend on the subscription, you could spend on the raspberry pi with home assistant, and get support for nearly all smart home ecosystems.

Loving my Homey

Despite trying to avoid these kinds of devices for years, we decided to get one and we really like the Homey Bridge. It was easy to set up with the app, and although I had a few issues syncing with our main smart TV and a couple of other devices, it's gotten so much easier over time. We were able to easily connect our Kasa smart plug (which is very important in our house). One of the features my partner enjoys is the energy data it displays so he can track how much energy our home is using. Lastly, I like how light it is and how little room it takes up.

I bought the Homey Bridge because I wanted to make it work with various smart gadgets I have in my smart home setup and also integrate my Google Assistant. Setting up the Bridge with the app is pretty easy and took me only a few minutes. Adding devices is fast. Some of my smart devices didn’t connect directly to Homey, but I was able to make it work with a work around. The flow options are great.
