So disappointed. Window insert very flimsy, does not fit window well leaving too much of a gap; no accessories and no instructions included to help correct this issue.

I been using the Honeywell 12000 btu portable air conditioner for 2 months now and it works great with no problem the only problem I had is with window kit, I have a sliding window so it was little bit difficult to install but other then that I sleep Really well with my air conditioner on..

Not good for Hawaii. I think in a less humid climate it would work ok

12,000 BTUs or 1 Ton of Air Conditioning I am cooling a bedroom where it is and using a Vornado Air Circular to move the air into my adjacent living room. Temperature in the Living room is averaging about 4 degrees F. higher than the bedroom that is really cool. My 3.5 ton central air went out and this is a stop gap before investing in a new central air at about $6,500+ I have ordered the newer replacement that is 14,000 BTU or just under 1.2 tons. It will be placed in the dinning room along with another Vornado Air Circular to move the air into the living room. I'm guess then the living room will be about 2 degrees F. higher than my bedroom or dining room. So for a little over $1,000 compared to over $6,500 I can wait until towards winter when better central air deals are to be hand. I added this last year about 15 to 18 inches of blown in insulation that is making an unbelievable difference in power use. This gives me time to better figure out and plan my new ac system. Better air flower is of a main concern and needs some good engineering planning. When I get my new ac system then these 2 will make for great emergency back ups. My experience with ac units is they only break down when the air is the hottest. Hope this helps. Note: I choose just the ac unit and not the heat pump for where I live and I like to keep things as simple as possible.

I ordered this product online and had it shipped to my home free of charge. The packaging is good to protect the product. Had it installed and running in 1/2 hour. This is my first portable A/C, so nothing to compare it to. But it cools the air in my living room very nicely, easy to operate with remote, real nice looking product. The window installation was a bit tricky, but worked nicely when installed properly. Best buy had the best price. It's my 2nd day of using it and very happy with it.

This little appliance had made a world of difference in my summer. I'm a single woman who is not great at setting these things up. But, this was simple to set up by myself and makes me want to come home! I can have friends over because my living room is now climate controlled. I am very pleased with this so far. I haven't got my first bill for electric yet but as far as comfort , I am ecstatic!

For three weeks, this A/C unit has consistently cranked out the cold air, as advertised, enough to adequately cool a small (500 sq. ft.) area in the dry southwestern desert without any need for the drip pan or dehumidifier. It was a breeze to install, however, the unit is indeed loud, but you get used to it, especially when it does such a great job at doing its primary function of keeping the air cool.

Had to replace my trusty Sharp Portable AC and initially purchased an LG 14000 from HD. It was defective and returned it the next day. After thorough research, I chose a Honeywell 12000 and purchased at South Coast store. This unit is fantastic - has turned the master bedroom into a "walk-in refrigerator" which has been a relief in this hot, humid beach weather. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase, and will be purchasing another for the guest room.

Really happy with this product. Easy setup and it works so well. It's been 97 degrees out and this unit easily cools 400+ sqft of living space. Excellent product, you won't be disappointed.

Bought this AC a month ago and myself my husband are very pleased. it cools very quick, cleaning and setup is very easy. overall this was a good investment. Am also thankful to the previous reviews in this site which helped me choose this AC.

I bought this for our bedroom because the bedroom is upstairs and the central air doesn't cool as much as I would like. We set it at 76 degrees. Best nights sleep we had in a long time. I am extremely glad I purchased this product.

We have had this air conditioning unit for over a year now (part of two summers) and it works great. We use it to cool two 2nd floor bedrooms as well as a room on the landing of the stairs in an old 1840s farmhouse. It cools an entire area that used to be unbearably hot during the summer months! We are super happy with this unit and definitely recommend it!

this works great. It is difficult to set it up and hard to move around because it is extremely heavy. The wheels on the bottom makes it easier to push it around. The window kit is not too great… otherwise, great product.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this AC unit. I want a quiet AC. I purchased $299 one and end up returning it because it is too. After that I purchased this $499 one and it is still the same (Aug 2015). Summer is coming up(Jun 2016), I am using this unit in my living room, 400sqft, when I turn it on high, it is still hard for us to talk or watching TV. If I could return it I would but they only ship to store. So I end up keeping it, and I don't use it that often anymore.

The product is great if you have a small room. I would like to purchase a larger BTU if I only knew that I need to cover a bigger square footage. A tad noisy but bearable.

Great AC unit! Quite, will get rooms ice cold quick and this unit is made so you never have to empty water from it (condensation build up). It has a built in evaporator!

This air conditioner is great for my small apartment. The only problem is that my bedroom window slide from left to right instead of up and down. I was able to get that to work though. I just filled in the little bit of gap I had with weather stripping foam. No regrets with my purchase. I'm sleeping just fine and it runs quietly too.

We have a game room over the garage and it was getting hot. Now that we have this unit we find the room cools down it about 10 minutes to a cool 72 and the unit works as advertised. Highly recommend this unit to anyone needing to cool a 500 sq ft space.

This was the only unit they had at my store. Setup was easy, it started blowing cold air and I thought it was all good. I come back into the room, it's not really that cool so I set it to blow at 61 degrees the lowest it goes. 3 hours later my living room is at 88 degrees. It blows cold air, but it's simply not powerful enough to cover the room-no way. Even with the power on HIGH and at the lowest temp, I could barely feel the cool air on me 5 feet directly in front of it. This is a 330 sq foot living room with everything sealed up, and it's still super hot even with this blowing. I wouldn't bother if I were you...unless you just need it for a really, REALLY small room. Forget about cooling a decent sized room w/ this.
