portable air-conditioner was easy to install, however it does not cool the room as quickly as I'd like. I'm not happy that it must sit out from the wall 20 inches and I did not realize this when I bought it. Tube from air-conditioner and window came unattached over a weekend I was away and so it ran for the whole weekend and my room was steaming when I can home.

I installed the airconditioner in about 15 minutes. It cools my room in about on hour.and is not as noisy as the fan I was using. My Windows are taller than the new standard, so I would put a screw in the window exhaust portion. I like that fact that I can open my window when I do not need the Air conditioner.

This is a unit with a "punch"! We installed it in a 100 year + home and we cool the dining room in a matter of minutes with the windows OPEN. If we close up, the room cools and stays comfortable within 15 minutes at 92 degrees outside with power to go. Just set the thermostat where you are comfy and forget about it. I've used an LG version in the past and it required constant attention to drain, have yet to even remove the drain cap on this unit after months of workout!

This portable AC is quiet, efficient and easy to install. There are couple of minor issues that I wished the manufacturer should include in the package which are the removable pan to catch the moisture and the 3/4" plastic tube. These are items that I cannot find in Lowe or Home Depot.

Pretty expensive unit, we were fortunate enough to get open box item for reduced price. This unit cools/dehumidifies the entire first floor of our house which is about 1200 SF or so. We do transfer it back and forth upstairs and use in our bedroom at night. Worth the purchase, thinking about buying another one to use upstairs.

Easy to set up for 70 years old woman. Little noisey but expectable. No leaking from both drains, gives good fresh cold air to beat the heat. Easy to use. My central air conditioner not working, this one help me a lot to work around house. I cleaned both filters with running water & dry outside, easy to do. It was good buy on sale price. Thank you.

We bought this AC unit primarily to cool 1 particular upstairs bedroom to get the temp down to a reasonable level for sleeping, it does that job very well. In addition, I find that if I put a decent fan near it and keep that bedroom door open I can blow the cool air further from the source and bring down the temperature of the whole upstairs of our townhouse by a decent amount (does ok with this but not like in a smaller contained space). Easy controls, handy remote, easy to clean the air filter.

Excellent, excellent unit! Efficient and cool! It's a bit loud at first, but after a few days it turns into the background white noise. I don't know how I've survived so long without one. Definitely pleased with the product, and it had fool-proof set up. Only real negative about it is they shorted me a pin for the window slats, and even with the extension it was still about 6 inches too short. Nothing some duct tape and cardboard couldn't fix. But with spending so much you'd think they wouldn't be cheap with the cheapest part of the product.

We needed a new portable AC when the old one, bought 6 years ago, stopped working. We need it for our bedroom as it's a large house with only one A/C zone, plus the bedroom is above the garage. Our HOA doesn't allow window units, so this is perfect. The Honeywell had the best ratings, plus the delivery to the door. I set it up myself, and we've had it going almost every night for the last 2 months. It's efficient, cools the room quickly, easily adjusted. The fan makes some noise of course, but it's not disturbing, and we both sleep through it. An excellent product.

This unit cools my 16 x 16 room fairly well. Be forwarned it is pretty loud on the highest setting. Overall it works well for the price.

Last year my apartment was so hot that I intentionally took cold showers just to stay sane. Not this year. Little pricey but it works perfectly. Can't wait to put it to the test this summer.

I purchased this Honeywell PAC for my sister's home because her AC went on the blink. It was an easy setup and started cooling two rooms pretty quick. Once her AC is fixed, I plan on setting it up in my garage.

Bought to cool off and open layout. Although it is too small for the floor, it cools the area it's in nicely. It performs well on those sweltering summer days. Will probably buy another soon.

After living in Boston for several years without an air conditioner, we finally had enough and purchased this AC at the beginning of this summer. We've had a great experience with it so far in terms of how well it cools our 1-bedroom apartment. It was pretty simple to set up, though I wish the hose were longer. Yes, it's is "noisy" but not really any more so than a window unit. One star docked for the fact it came to us without the full window kit, and dealing with Honeywell customer service was not exactly a treat. I contacted them asking to send the part, they said OK and told us when it would arrive. It didn't arrive and I asked for an updated estimate, at which point they told us they never sent it because shipments weren't going out from the day I asked for the kit to the day it was supposed to arrive. Why not tell me this up front, or when you found out there would be a delay? Then it turned out the window kit needed to be signed for (I was never told this until the unsuccessful delivery attempt), so I had to take a day off work to receive it. We love our AC now that it's in, but I dread ever having to deal with Honeywell again.

Due to extreme hot weather my central a/c was working very hard. I wanted something to help decrease the load and give it a break. This unit does just that. It keeps a room cool and if the central unit goes out, I still have an option. The only drawback on this or any other portable unit is that it has to be vented to the outside. It is, however moveable and easy to install.

I went in looking for a less expensive, lower powered unit that online info said they had in stock. Couldn't find it so I bit the bullet and bought this one...and I'm glad I did. The old central AC in my apt struggles with the Texas summer heat and humidity, only managing an uncomfortable 78 F. This unit took over and keeps things almost too cold. Mama is happy and so am I.

We bought this unit to cool one room (our bedroom) down for the Summer. Eventually I plan to get central AC but this will hold us over for this season. So far its working great, brings the room down 10 degrees quite quickly, and does not make too much noise. Only downside is that the hose is really short, you have to put the unit RIGHT next to a window.

Overall works great, a little on the noiser side, wish the tubing that vents out was a bit longer. It cools quickly and works overall good.

Our new Honeywell 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is portable, compact, not too noisy and I purchased it for $200 less than the one I got at Sears a few years ago.

Needed a portable AC - love it! Does the job well! And there's no need to dump water. The installation was easy and I was chilly in the matter of an hour or so.
