I use this air cond. in my bedroom and works good. Keeps my room cool and comfortable for sleeping. It also has 3 speeds, and a dehumidifier, and fan only option. I am glad I bought it. I also like that Best Buy gives free delivery. UPS delivers, excellent service.

The HONEYWELL was not as strong and cold as I expected , it only covered a very small area in a room, and the parts were very fragile, the tube size didn't allow the unit to be moved at all

OK, I gave this 3 stars because the machine works well. It pumps out air like a monster and looks nice. It is extremely heavy. Cons: as hard as it pumps out air, it pumps out heat from the back just as bad. The vent hose in the back could have done with a locking clip feature to keep it in place when having to move the hose around to its window spot. The wheels also need an optional locking feature. I ended up having to cut up some old flip flops to put in between the casters to keep the machine from rolling with an accidental touch. Also, imo, it is loud. I would recommend it, just be very careful with where you put it and who can access it. Small children and pets could likely get hurt.

I bought this to relace my aging ac unit that was noisey and loud and going out, this AC unit is quieter and works much more efficiently than my old 9k btu unit, i bought this 14k btu unit with the 5 year warranty, i would purchase this unit again, this is my second Honeywell 14k Portable unit, i had purchased my first one in 2016. Highly recommended.

AC was easy to setup and works great. I thought the price was a little high, but I am satisfied with it. However the window bracket kit was broke. I called customer service and they sent me a replacement. Customer service was very helpful and friendly.

Cools down a room but takes a while, must be the new enviro friendly refrigerant. Runs off a normal outlet with no problems. If need a portable ac this is nice comes with a 5 year warranty

I bought this portable AC for my home office which is about 300 ft. Removed from the box and easy set up! So far it's cooling great! Love the timer!!

When I picked up the box I was a little worried because it looked like a 800lb gorilla delivered it. The best buy associate said that the box was delivered that way and if I discovered damage upon opening I would not have a problem returning the item. Installation was easy the split exhaust coupling is a little tough putting together other than that its a breeze, When I turned it on I was a little skeptical that it would cool the room but after returning in about half an hour the room was very cool. The only other issue I have is vibration the plastic outer plastic skin vibrates which is a little noisy.

I have used it in my bedroom, about 200 SF. It’s great in cooling, it drop the temperature in few minutes but the compressor is so loud. It seems like there is something loose inside causing that noise. Not recommended for bedrooms or where you need quite environment.

I needed an air conditioner for a big living room in an old pre-war apartment building with windows that cannot accommodate a window unit. After reading poor reviews of portable units in recent yeas, I looked again this year and this Honeywell model was among those I noted for positive reviews. This air conditioner is fantastic. It was very easy to install (though if you have a smallish window you may need to use a saw to cut to size the plastic bracket that holds the hose). Most importantly, it has excellent cooling and airflow. It cools my living room/foyer (500+ sf) which share a wide open archway and you can feel the air at least 18 feet away from the unit. It is relatively quiet, in my opinion, and is nice looking for something that is pretty big and clunky. It’s a bit pricy, but if you need a stand-alone/portable unit, this one is well made and easy to use. I have started calling it R2D2 and it has made summer in New York City not just bearable, but downright cool.

we like this portable ac. works great and cools of our 700 sq. ft. living space. we'd love to see a hose insulator accessory to accompany the machine, but will most likely go to hardware store for one, it gets pretty hot. lindy

Poor quality packaging . The first unit came with broken power cord pins/connectors. Second unit came with broken window bracket kit. Honeywell needs to improve packaging. The AC is noisy (usually I listen my TV on volume 7. When I have AC on then I need to move that up to 16). It takes hours to cool down my living room. If ext temp is ~90, AC can't go lower than 78. Overall is just ok.

Honeywell hit it out of the park with this portable air conditioner. I have owned several that have lasted about 3 years each. I have had to tear them apart to recycle and they have been loaded with lint, hair, etc.. Most mfg. have no access panels to the inside coils, Honeywell does. When I opened it to winterize it was still absolutely pristine inside. Coils were perfectly clean. It's cooling is far superior to any others I have owned.

I bought this for our main bedroom since I didn't want the hassle of putting the air conditioner in during the summer and having to remove it in the fall. This solved my problem and allows for the hot air to be exhausted outside without removing the window screens. Only comment - I would put the lower drain plug higher so that a large pan can be put underneath.

It gets very cold. My daughter purchased it for my mom. She loves it. I wish it was cheaper.

We purchased this for our 350 sq ft room as the 400 couldn’t handle the room size. Well, while the sun is up during the day, it keeps the room between 88-90 degrees and only cools down further after the sun sets. We keep the curtains closed and that doesn’t help. Secondly, the “self-evaporating” air conditioner doesn’t evaporate. We had to use the continuous drainage function into a 3 gallon bucket, which I had to empty every couple of hours; so, while we were sleeping, I used a 10 gallon storage bin. That filled up to about 5 gallons over hours. Lastly, the window kit comes with two pieces, that don’t fit windows smaller than 28” and if you need the 28” extension, the minimum size your window can be is 38”. I contacted the company to see if I could purchase a smaller size. They informed me that that the two 28” pieces are all they manufacture and suggest I cut it down to size with a hand saw. So, unless you want an overpriced dehumidifier, I would pass on purchasing this portable “air conditioner”.

The a/c does a good job. Cools the entire downstairs part of my house on the hottest days. It will not cool below 71. So don't buy if that is your intent. Does a great job dehumidifying the house as well. Great product thus far.

Love this ac. Roll it to what ever room you want and it installs in the windows pretty fast

The flap is supposed to open and close on its own. There’s a label to tell you not to force it open. That worked for a couple days. Now we have to pull it open ourselves. Otherwise, great product.
