I was very impressed at how well this machine cleaned the carpets and more impressed at how fast the carpets dried.

Absolutely the best thing besides sliced bread. Easy to use, gets the carpet clean the 1st time, even heavy traffic areas.

This cleaner works pretty well overall, but I am quite disappointed in the build quality. Specifically, take a look at the latch and catch that lock the cleaner in the upright position. Beware that this is engineered to fail in my opinion. The catch (which is moulded into the grey body of the cleaner near the right side wheel) is not a solid piece of, er, plastic. In fact, it it is striated -- meaning there is 1/2 the material and therefore strength of a solid piece. The only reason I can see why the manufacturer would to mould the catch in this way is so that it will *fail* over time. It would have been equally simple and likely sturdier to mould it into a single solid piece of plastic. Needless to say this latch/catch failed on me, during normal household use, within 2 months. I attempted to get this fixed under warranty but it *was not warranted* as it does not affect the operation of the unit (only my ability to move it around the house). The cost to fix the problem was more than the cost of the unit. I am not a fan of extended warranties, but future buyers may want to consider it for this unit. And Hoover ought to consider making wear items both more sturdy (how about a little metal?) and replaceable. Hoover just lost a customer over 20 grams of plastic and a too-limited warranty policy.

I bought this a few days ago and so far, so good. Very pleased with the results. I had several stains (from 2 weeks ago...sick kid) on carpet in living room and this cleaner dug down deep and removed those stains. This is the sole reason why I purchased this cleaner...I have a toddler and they make big nasty messes. I had to refill the hot water tank & empty the dirty water tank more than I would like to have, but it was well worth it. Great product, did it's job.

This was my first time ever assembling and using a steam cleaner and I love it. This machine actually made the job fun. I have a 1198 sq ft apartment and only had to use one bottle of the cleaner. My carpet smells and looks new again. I have a cat and a dog and hair is always a problem , however, with this machine one cleaning really brought my carpet back to life. The instructions are great for those of us that are mechanically challenged.

Love the rotating brushes on the main machine and the handheld for chairs. Works very well.

Just bought this to replace a slightly older Hoover. I really like the separate containers for water and cleaner, although it does seem to use lots of the cleaning solution. I have 3 kids and tons of juice spots in the living room...well, I did before this past weekend! After using this I feel beter about having my kids play on the carpet.

Our old Bissell was getting too expensive to keep repairing. While searching for a replacement I read the reviews on the Hoover went for it. It cleans better, picks up dog hair and takes up water-drys fast. I am happy. The accessory hose needs a rubber band to keep in place bu that is minor.

Most of the other reviews covered the positive comments. My only negative is that the foot that holds the vacuum upright broke. It is made of a pretty cheap plastic. I will have to take it about 45 miles to the closest authorized service center to get it replaced (still under warranty.)

Great product, was happy to read eveyones reviews before buying, made it easy for me to purchase, made my carpet look and feel beautiful, I have not cleaned my carpets in over 2 years and all the spots came out, Very happy with the results and willl use over and over..

I works pretty good as many reviewers comments. Suction power is enough to clean and dry up your carpet in a minute. But frequent tilting over and heavy load of dirts sometimes cloggs vaccume line. Not easy to manuver for women. But surely works fine. I Like this.
