Used it the first time, worked fairly good. Waited several months to use again and found the brushes wouldn't work. Decided to take a look at it and found the drive wheel that works the brushes was broken in half. Using some epoxy I put it back together and completed one room before the suction quit. Poor quality and design. I normally don't respond to items like this, but this unit quality is beyond belief. Very disappointed.

I bought this yesterday hoping to clean my couch and floors and the agitator brushes don't work, we've tried everything according to the clear as mud directions! it has poor suction and is heavy and all around a terrible product. Don't waste your money.

I had a similar model that lasted for years. I purchased this model and it had ben used 3 times and the brush motor stopped working. I only have 2 rooms of carpet so I was shocked when it stopped working this soon. I called Hoover and they said that I can take it to an approved repair place in downtown Nashvillle. I work during the day so it was very inconvienient for my schedule. Luckily, Best Buy gave me full store credit on it. I payed the extra money and upgraded to the Hoover MaxExtract 60. I haven't used it yet.

This is the 3rd one of the same model I have had to replace in the last year and a half. The product works great and then out of the clear blue the brushes quit working. I was not asked to buy the extended warrenty and on the 32nd day it quit. All 3 models were exactly the same type and all 3 quit the same way. I had one of the models from 1998 and it still works and my son has it. But all the new models have an early demise.

Had some trouble getting it put together. Tried to call the hotline and it was closed on Sunday's. Finally got it together and started on the carpets only to see it was leaving stripes where the cleaning brushes were. Tried going over the the stripes multiple times but finally just took it back and got the bissell. We spent over two hours on a very small living room and see little difference.

I was disappointed in that I was looking for a carpet cleaner that provides a deep cleaning with steam, and this was not what I had in mind. This cleans your carpets with hot tap water and not a "steam" feature.

I bought this a week ago and have YET to be able to attach the clean water tank. Hoover's "customer service" isnt even open on the weekends. Plus, all of the service centers in my area were not helpful.
