I'm a guy and my 19 yo Kenmore just wasn't doing the job anymore since I inherited a beagle and a great dane. My roomba is OK for maintenance but I sometimes have to figure out where it went. Plus, if the dog poops it manages to spread it nicely throughout the house. So, being a guy, there was no need to read the instructions. Luckily I was in the kitchen on linoleum when I assembled it. I moved the dial to the "floor" setting and turned it on. It immediately grabbed the floor and stuck to it with me tugging on it in horror. It took a minute to figure out that I should turn it off before it pulled the floor up. I'm convinced it would have pulled up my laminate floor if I started it there. Once I figured out the "floor/hose" knob is actually an adjustment to vary the suction, I ventured onto laminate and carpet. Since I had vacuumed the day before, I couldn't believe what this thing found, almost filling the container. Being able to steer this thing is like going from a truck to a corvette. You can set it to gentle or rip the floor up. The hose thing is great because you just pull the handle out without having to reconfigure it. (Sucked some change and unneeded knickknacks off the shelves, great fun to watch them spin inside). The only drawback is the button to turn off the roller brush is located on the main body and I have to bend down to activate it. Would be better on the handle. Overall this is fantastic.

This is a great vacuum, Im not so sure for how long this vacuum will perform the way is working now, this vacuum has a great power, and the best of all the front is very low in the front, so you can clean under the couch and tables, the head moves very easy so you don't have to, very light weight, easy to clean, but I would love to have a longer cord, so I can clean longer distances.

Lighter weight than I had, swivels and easily goes under furniture, easy to empty and no longer need to buy filters. Moves easily on vinyl floors as well as carpet. Can stop and start brushes.

Could be a little stronger but easy to maneuver around very flexible. Can do all types of floors. It surprised me with the nothing to push to bring from upright position. Hose and attachment is easy to setup but the brush push up is hard to use, will probably break easily since just a plastic tab holding it in place. Many times I pushed it completely off w/o meaning to. Can move around very easily it adjusts to corners easily. Hard to clean rollers, brushes could be longer. Cord is the old fashioned but easy to wrap and un-wrap. No place for pet attachment. Very lightweight and easy to lift. Love the on off switches on top no searching. The light for the brush does not work. the directions was not specific that there is not a pedal to push down to get from upright position to down like all the other types in the past have. Hose easy to pull out and put back in but sometimes I forget that I have it on hose not floor. No need to adjust for different types of carpet and just a switch to turn on/off brush. Worth the cost from others because can do many types of floors.

We researched many models and brands including Dyson and Shark. This vacuum had all the suction and a good array of tools for everyday cleaning. Highly maneuverable it has much more suction that my previous machine with easy emptying and the washable filter is a plus.

Our first one lasted a year without problems then had something in the wiring go bad & quit. I had forgot to get the Best Buy replacement plan... so after taking it to two different Hoover centers & being without a vacuum I needed to order another!! Hubby vacuums because of my bad back & he totally loves the suction. We have 2 indoor retrievers & the canister will be full every other day!! You do have to get used to adjusting the suction in the middle for throw rugs. He also loves the length of the hose on this. We did comparison with the Shark (the hose is shorter & it tips easily). He wasn't going to change his mind. Oh.. I did purchase the replacement plan on this second one!! In the meantime, the Hoover company also sent us out another brand new one after 2 months waiting to get the first one fixed!! My husband is very happy!!

After reading many reviews I purchased this vacuum to replace another Hoover that I had owned for 13 years. This vacuum is easy to use and I love the fact that pivots which makes it easy to get around furniture. I also like that I don't have to unhook any of the hoses to go from the floor to handheld. if you are looking for a lightweight vacuum with great suction and lots of power this one is for you.

After reviewing all the hoovers brands, I have decided to buy this one due to the price and the features offered.
I was really impressed when I tested it at home and got the carpet cleaned very quick and easily.
Very light equipment that you can carry anywhere.
Definately was good investment and I recommend to buy it.
Great product for great price.

Powerful enough to lift the carpet - and remove really deep-down
dust and dirt from pad as well! Also, at my age (75), the bagless feature is a blessing.

Great vacuum, great manuverability, very quiet (as quiet as vacuums get at least), very lightweight. My favorite feature on the vacuum is the handle is also your handheld hose, all you have to do is turn a dial to redirect the airflow, push the release button to take the hose out and your good to go, no switching hoses no lugging extra attachments, perfect for the hard to reach spots.

We replaced a 15 year old Hoover with this one. This is light weight and has a longer hose and cord making it easy to use. The vacuum does get warm after only about 10 minutes of running and only comes with a crevice tool and a stairs/upholstery tool.

Great vacuum that picks up massive amounts of animal hair. Was going to go with a more expensive vacuum but I am excited with this one. Wish it had a light to vacuum so you could see in dark corners when vacumming and such. Would recommend to pet owners.

This is a good vacuum. It does bare floors well and is great reaching all the stairs without having to haul the entire unit up. My only complaint is that the turbo brush falls off easily when bumped. I'm concerned the plastic will eventually crack because of this. It's lightweight and effective.

Poor Design - Overheats and Quits!

I have traditionally bought cheap vacuums that last about 3-4 years on average before they need to go. My son talked me into paying more for this unit and I am really sorry that I did.
The suction when working is great, but a lot of dirt/dust goes straight from the dust cup to the prefilter which helps it to overheat quicker so you must clean that filter at minimum everytime you use the vacuum. Second, it overheats routinely, requiring you to shut it off, wait, and then try to finish before it shuts off again. I found out later this was a common problem with this unit and seems it is a poor design and/or the motor is inadequate for the design.
Keep your box and your receipt if you buy this. I have never had to return a vacuum and tossed mine once it appeared to all be in working order. I am very sorry I did. It appears the quality of all vacuums has taken somewhat of a dive as best I can tell and the majority, if not all, are made in China. It sucks, don't buy it.

Expect to be Impressed with this Vacuum

I wanted a vacuum with amazing suction without paying a lot. Well, this is it. Although bagless vacuums are inherently messier when emptying the canister, this one is easy to empty and with the amount of dirt and hair it picks up, I've had a lot of practice. I did not expect to be excited about a vacuum and my kids now fight over who gets to vacuum their room next. Speaking of suction, on mats and rugs, I've actually had to dial the suction down by opening the directional flow valve a bit to the hose attachment so the vacuum would not get stuck to the mat! The unit is easy to push and maneuver.
