In comparing to the Dysons, for the money, this is a great machine. The hose is a bit tense, but after some work becomes flexible. The overall machine seems heavy, but cleans great.

Love this vacuum! It is a little heavier than my other Hoover, but it does a good job cleaning the carpet. Would recommend for sure!

We have three shedding dogs whose hair would not come out of the area rugs with other vacuums. This one gets hair up easily and the self-propel feature makes it easy. Plus my other bagless vacuums would have to be emptied way too often. With wood ash and dog air, emptying the canister made a real mess.

We always buy the best and this is the 4th HEPA Upright. Always works and always clean even hardwood.

This is a great all-purpose vacuum cleaner with the standard useful attachments. It's a very good price for a Hoover made product with its excellent reliability record. I've been using Hoover vacuum cleaners since early 1980s. Happy I bought this model.

self propelled is the way to go - it makes vacuuming so easy - first hoover self propelled is still working after 20 years- just moved to basement carpet - got one for first floor - delivered right to my door in excellent condition

I especially like the self-propelled feature on this unit. It takes a lot less effort to operate this unit. Also, I like the use of a filter bag instead of just a collection chamber. The price of this unit on sale at Best Buy was a factor, as well.

Need the HEPA filter and don't like bagless sweepers.

Bought for my mother for Christmas. She loves it and says it performs according to specifications. Easy to use and maneuver. I am happy that this vacuum makes her life easier.

This Hoover Self-Propelled vacuum replaces one that we purchased many years ago that finally gave up the ghost! So glad Hoover still makes this model. And the price was super!

I chose this vacuum for three reasons. 1) I wanted a self-propelled vacuum that was easy to push. 2) I wanted a "bag" feature so dirt and dust would be self-contained and easily removed and tossed without creating a mini cloud of dust. 3) I wanted a vacuum with an adjustable brushroll control for high or low carpet. And I wanted to turn off the brushroll when cleaning a bare floor. After using the vacuum, I discovered a fourth bonus feature that I like. The vacuum has an "Embedded Dirt Finder" feature that lets you know when the carpet is cleaned. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this vacuum.
