The camera boasts a commendable build quality and an aesthetically pleasing design, making it suitable as a display piece. However, its primary drawback and the sole reason I cannot recommend it is its 480p resolution. In 2025, 480p is an unacceptable standard for a camera, especially when the official Nintendo alternative offers 1080p at a lower price point.

I got it for the novelty. It's a cute camera. However, I would suggest the official black Nintendo one if you want the best picture quality.

Great addition to my new Switch 2. It was a lot smaller than I was expecting. But they expect you to mount it to the top of your switch in portable mode.

This is literally a decoration and very fragile btw. Crappy camera I believe Eye of judgment had a better one 20 years ago

Good if you want to buy it for a decor piece but it is a lot smaller than you would think compared to the box and the camera is worse than 2000's camera.

Quality is 480p and the camera is low quality. The product itself quality structure is good and is a gr8 accessories and budget friendly.

Not worth the decor, resolution is too low. You cant even make out facial expressions, is just a blur face.

Since I saw it on TV and I knew I needed it! The quality of the camera is a bit off, but I need to see if getting a higher internet helps.

It looks great, has quality and weight to it but the camera functionally is the worst I have seen on any modern peice of tech in a long time. It's like 480p. In 2025? For this price you could get something 720p(the switch 2 will take any of my other 1080p webcams just fine). I thought about returning but I decided to keep it just to treat it kind like an amiibo figure on my shelf.

Resolution is not 1080P, but the Piranga Plant is really cool.

I really enjoy the Hori Piranha Plant Camera! The design is playful and creative, the model looks fantastic, and it’s a fun item to use and display. A great mix of functionality and Nintendo charm.

Makes a cool desk ornament, but the camera quality is so awful I'll never use it.

It's absolutely adorable. Unfortunately its picture quality is not. Everything is built beautifully. Cables are sturdy. Set up is clean cut. But the picture is very washed out. I Unfortunately returned. If it had been cheaper I would have kept for collector at least.
