I love this controller, the original joycons are too small for my hands and made playing in handheld mode uncomfortable. These are huge upgrade when it comes to comfort and it's been several weeks of constant gameplay and I have not seen any signs of joystick drift. Not to mention the design is good to look at and make my switch really standout amongst those of friends and family.

Great choice as alternative controllers for joy cons in handheld mode. Very comfortable controllers for long gaming sessions. Easy to grip and feels like you’re playing on an actually controller.
Absolutely amazing Pokémon themed design. I like the character art of Pikachu and Lucario and the complementary color scheme. Although the controllers do not have all joy con functions such as HD rumble, gyro, and NFC reader, it is still a great pick for the price. Regardless, I would suggest purchasing if you often play the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode.
Overall, I enjoy using the Hori Split Pad Pro and would highly recommend to buy.

I bought the Hori Split Pad Pro – Lucario edition for my husband, and he absolutely loves them. They’re super comfortable, feel great in the hands, and make handheld play so much easier—especially for longer gaming sessions. The Lucario design looks amazing, too. The only downside is that they don’t support motion controls, which was a little disappointing for certain games. But overall, he’s really happy with them and uses them all the time!

Works well enough

Works well enough but the thickness is wider than the console so it gives it a bulky feel. They are very durable and able to withstand my 1 year old.

A game-changer!! Even after the great reviews and how nice these look i was worried about how big these looked to make the switch. However i do have bigger hands and with the original switch attached controllers my hands would get that tingling numb feeling only after a little bit. Will with this thing those days are over! Amazingly how wider these make the switch actually feels SO MUCH better! Way more comfortable to hold and makes the entire switch feel even more premium! These are light weight but feel of a premium build! The joysticks are AMAZING! Really smooth and feel like a high end controller. D pad is responsive and all the buttons have a nice push to them. I got the black with red lettered buttons. matches my grey switch well. Do not hesitate to get this! It truly is a game changer! very impressed and worth the money, not to mention no internal batteries to worry about dying or wearing out!

These Hori controllers for the Nintendo Switch are great! I find it gives my Switch the feel of an actual controller, unlike the Joy cons. This is a much better setup, doesn't need charging, and are what the Switch should have came with. They are also ultra responsive! Great product and very comfortable!

This product is a great product. It is extremely comfortable, ergonomic, and definitely works for gaming in bed. If there is an upgrade to the switch I would suggest starting with controllers just like this, and then working to other accessories.

This controller set has been a blessing for my child! He loves it and even thought he had received a brand new nintendo switch lol. Everything works great and all the buttons are very sensitive. We love it!

Note these controllers are slightly bigger than how I thought they were going to be but over all they feel very pro and comfortable in my hands. Buttons and joysticks move well. Only downside is might not fit in your regular switch bag and might take up extra space if left on but over all great product
Comfortable grip, ideal for handheld Switch player

If you're reading this review, you're probably considering your alternatives for Nintendo Switch controllers. While the standard Nintendo Joy Cons are versatile and revolutionary in their own right, they are rather small and become uncomfortable during an extended gameplay session; I found the Hori Split Pad Pro controllers resolve this exact issue. They make the handheld gameplay experience much better, especially if you have adult size hands. Furthermore, they are quite affordable and have Nintendo's official branding and sanction behind them. There's no janky technology by a 3rd party company to be concerned about here. I actually bought the Hori Split Pad Pro specifically for the Turbo button. For those who don't know, you can program a button to be pressed repeatedly, which is very useful for games that require spamming A or grinding a repetitive action like inventory management, etc. My specific use case was to automate Alolan trades in Let's Go Pikachu, and it works great! Now for the all positives noted, there are some drawbacks or limitations to consider. For one, you cannot use motion controls or connect wirelessly, it's exclusively an upgrade for your handheld gaming. The Hori Split Pad Pro also does not fit easily into standard sized Switch carrying cases, so they're best used in the comfort of your home, but could be used on the go too. Overall, I would definitely give these controllers a try if you enjoy the classic "Gameboy" feeling on your Switch. The additional turbo functionality is sort of niche, but definitely solved my problem!

Functionally these work great, they are much easier to travel with than my other handles that clamp around the entire switch. The downside is you lose any rumble functionality since they replace the actual joycons.
Some games this may not mattter, but if you are used to the rumble on a game that you play often it will feel weird at first as you adjust.

These controllers are great and the programmable buttons are awesome. I bought this for racing (NFS) and it’s a huge difference/improvement over the Nintendo controllers. Actually improved my racing ability.

These controllers are way better than the standard ones that the oled comes with. You get a better grip, and my hands don’t hurt or get sore from awkward holding.

The Hori Split Pad Pro is a highly regarded
Pros:
• Ergonomics: The larger grips make it more comfortable to hold compared to the standard Joy-Con, especially for extended gaming sessions.
• Full-Sized Buttons: Provides a more traditional controller feel with responsive, full-sized analog sticks and buttons.
• Extra Features: Includes assignable rear triggers and turbo functionality, which can enhance gameplay for certain games.
Cons:
• Handheld Mode Only: It doesn’t have its own battery, so it only works when attached to the Switch. It won’t function as a standalone wireless controller.
• No Motion Controls or Rumble: If you rely on features like HD Rumble or motion controls, you’ll miss out with this controller.
• Bulkiness: While comfortable, the added size can make the console less portable.
This is a solid choice for players who prioritize comfort and control in handheld mode, particularly for action games, RPGs, or shooters.
Also have Turbo for those who care about that
