I purchased Hotel Transylvania 2 because I already own the first Hotel Transylvania from a few years ago and enjoyed that. When I saw the trailer for the sequel, I was not impressed at first. That first impression changed when I got the chance to see the whole movie after a blind purchase of the blu-ray. I may be burned at the stake (pun intended) for saying this, but I actually found this second movie more enjoyable than the first. It basically shows the relationship grandparents have with their children and grandchildren and the craziness that comes with it. This movie is a treat for both kids and the child-at-heart. I purchased the Best Buy exclusive version of this movie, that came in a box with the toy. The movie inside didn't have the outer cardboard slipcover, just the standard plastic case. Collectors usually find that information useful. The toy itself is really well-made. Looking at it from outside the box, I couldn't tell if it was squishy (like the character in the movie) or made of hard plastic. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was squishy, and dense.

My kid's enjoy this movie. It is funny and somewhat enjoyable for adults as well.
