    Assassination attempt

In this season, Frank Underwood gets a little return karma for past manipulations and murders. Former Washington Herald reporter Lucas Goodwin goes to jail for cyber fraud, but then after being released, goes on a rampage to avenge his girlfriend's (Zoe Barnes) murder by Frank by taking matters into his own hands. He attempted an assassination of Underwood at a campaign rally, but failed, although Frank's secret service protector Edward Meechum is shot and killed. The season ends with Tom Hammerschmidt - former executive editor of the Herald - putting together damning evidence against Underwood, yet the latter weasled out of this one too before it could be published. The last episode leaves you wondering if he will overcome this latest challenge and go on to be re-elected as President of the United States. Bottom line is that this is exciting drama, not to be missed if you're into mystery and intrigue. The acting is beyond excellent as well.

    Series Great!! Packaging Sucks!

As in my other reviews I have stated that this is a great series with an exceptional cast of characters. The storyline is great and it keeps you wanting to see more. On the other hand as in my other reviews of previous seasons... the packaging that Sony uses for the DVD's is cardboard and when you remove or put your DVD back it will scratch it. Not sure why they cannot understand this, but my guess is they don't care what it does as long as they can sell it...period. So beware if you buy this on DVD as they will more than likely scratch as you use the packaging. Not sure if this is a problem with the Blu-rays or not.

This is a series of high political intrigue that keeps the viewers wondering if our government works that way all the time. I believe that our presidents are better than Frank Underwood, however, this character in the series faces the same situations that a real president does, so many of the things that we see and the decisions he takes reflect a political reality up to a certain degree.

This series is like a train wreck; can't look away no matter how ugly the truth of it gets. Don't start watching the series with this one. You must start with season one. I know it's fiction, but, it's so close to reality it's scary. I've never been one to trust the motives of a career politician, and now I know why. Great acting and great storylines.

He's been President now, what's his next goal?

Well it's Season Four and he's been President now for a little while... he needs a new goal. And I don't see him finding a new goal. BUT, his wife has a goal, a career, a very serious career, and the season is spent on climbing toward that. Some intrigue, with the Russian Premier, instead of Congress and their staff. It's less suspenseful than previous seasons. Season Five better come up with something really good, or this series will disappear. Ellen Burstyn is great as the mother-in-law.

I will admit I'm a huge House of Cards Fan, and this season was by far better than season three. Season one and two were really good, I've watched them at least three times. I put this show on when I'm doing laundry. I personally didn't love season three that much, but season four makes up for that. Get it if your a cards fan! :)

Just when you thought "the show can't go anywhere else" you get a whole new reason to be sucked in from start to finish. This season you get to see the Underwoods go back to what made the first season so powerful. Their unmatched power of scheming and always being a step ahead. Drama hits and is the second term that much in the bag?

We started watching this series a few years ago but trailed off after season two. After rewatching the first two seasons, we have now finished through season four and are ready for the current season (five). Its very addictive. We need a Frank Underwood to show our current politicians how to get things done.

Return to delightfully Machiavellian form from Season 3, with Frank and Claire Underwood fighting for their political lives. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright shine as always and there are welcome new additions including Neve Campbell and Republican candidate power couple to spar with. Binge watching at its finest.

This is a great series that I have watched from the beginning. Kevin Spacy and Robin Wright are fantastic. Their strange relationship and absolute hunger for power at any cost is amazing. This whole series kind of makes you wonder about politics. House of Cards never disappoints it just keeps getting better.

Easily the best season of the show yet alongside Season 2. Anyone who has even casually glanced as Kevin Spacey's acting and liked what they've seen will love House of Cards despite hitting a few slow-points. But like Tom Yates says, don't go into it expecting anything.

Season 4 is as good, if not better than the first three. Acting and story line remain strong and engaging. Video and audio quality are very good. Being dialogue driven there's not really any outstanding surround effects but music sound track is strong.

Heard this was the best season yet. Before I knew it, I was at the end of the series because time passed pretty quickly. I agree with some other reviews that this is the best season yet. Will have to wait a while to see how the election turns out!

I can always count on Best Buy to have my favorite series in stock so that I can binge watch. I don't have Netflix, so being able to find entire seasons at Best Buy is a great alternative to have. Thanks Best Buy! I'll be back for Season 5!

One of the best series ever. Third season was very dark & season 4 brought us back to the light. The way they teamed up at the end was great. Looking forward to season 5. I also recommend the original British mini-series of the same title.

Robin Wright shows why she is one of America's best actresses with this season's episodes of HOUSE OF CARDS. Her performance is truly astounding. Ellen Burstyn is equally as brilliant as Clare's mother. You can't go wrong with this season.

Frank & Claire are both determined to fulfill their personal agendas, even if it means sabotaging the other one's to do it. Like sharks circling each other, this season should be a no-holds barred, winner takes all affair!

House of cards is an education in what power and ambition can do to corrupt the human spirit. Of course it's fiction but maybe not such an exaggeration of what goes on behind the curtain. Very entertaining.

I absolutely LOVE House of Cards. This season was no less gripping than any other and I can't help but to have developed a Spacey addiction. I have a Frank Underwood bumper sticker (included) on my car :)
