The second season of this new classic is starts off with a shocker, and keeps on going from there! This dvd release is obviously not to the video quality of its blu-ray counterpart, but still retains great detail in this Netflix release. With an excellent transfer to disc, and bonus features that were sorely missed from the season one release, Netflix manages to top with this one. Don’t miss it!

The show takes us into the world of a politician who will do anything to get power. Frank Underwood, and his wife Claire, will stop at nothing until he reaches the top of the latter. We see Frank U. go from congressman to Vice President. He does not care who he hurts or destroys to get what he wants.

This masterpiece of British to American translation of an interesting series is what good television is made of today. The clever plot twists, the layers of stories, and the acting of Kevin Spacey have you constantly rooting for his success - even while it runs contrary to the ideals of our country's founders.

Ok apart from Frank Underwood being a sinister politician and a murderer, you can actually learn some useful stuff from this guy. For instance, ruthlessness, it pays to stand up for yourself, even if you have to walk all over people to do it. Sometimes you have to make cold calculated decisions, Frank is a master at that. Try this out: “Sometimes the only way to gain your superior's respect is to defy him”. I followed Frank's advice on that one... It worked. Anyway, Frank is brilliant, but flawed, like many great leaders. Seriously, best acting and writing since Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica.

I honestly have not watched season 2 yet, but season 1 was an instant favorite and my best blind buy of lat year. The show plays like a good political thriller film, and Kevin Spacey is in top form again after some lackluster things I've seen him in recently. The whole cast just rocks and kills, the music and cinematography are amazing, and the story keeps moving making me want to know what happens next. Among the best shows ever made, hoping they didn't change the recipe for season 2.

As far as political dramas go, the House of Cards series is one of the finest. Quality acting from the entire cast, its direction is taught with only a few missteps along the way and season two has kept that quality going from season 1. This series deserves to be watched. The blu ray quality is excellent providing a clean and overall sharply detailed picture. The audio while mostly dialogue is clear and concise. If you are looking for a bew series to get into this might just be it.

The second season starts with Frank Underwood about to be sworn in a Vice President and taking care of any opposition as he gets ever closer to his ultimate goal as becoming the next President of the United States. The pace for this season is slower because of the Tusk/Walker storyline but it will all make sense and everything will fall into place as you see the end result. Another wonderful season of superior acting by this ensemble cast and amazing writing.

Season 1 of the "House of Cards" was just great and I was eagerly looking forward season 2. And season 2 has not disappointed me in the least. Kevin Spacey is just brilliant in the role of Francis Underwood as he transitions from being the Majority House Whip in season 1 to the vice-president in season 2. And his wife, played by Robin Wright, is equally brilliant in her role. The saga continues!

I don't have Netflix and so it had been a long wait for Season 2 to come out on DVD. It certainly does not disappoint! Builds on the storyline from Season 1 and keeps the viewer engaged and wanting more. Agree with other reviewers that some of the episodes are a bit dark, definitely more so than the first season. But overall very thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

Great tv series if you like political intrigue. Kevin Spacey excellent actor with an accompanying cast. He rises from Minority Whip to President of the US by unethical and murderous tactics. If you get the first season you will want to get the second season, I am getting the third season when it comes out!!

House of Cards is a great television series; one of the best. The plot to the characters and cast are excellent; even if a few you will like get killed. And, living in the DC area is a bonus as many of the sets we recognize. The show has left my girl friend and I wanting Season 3 to come out soon.

I do not have Netflix. I thoroughly enjoyed the second season on Blu-Ray. I binged and watched all episodes in a few days. I also purchased this series when it was on sale at a great price. Great performances along with excellent video and audio quality make this a must own Blu-ray.

This is such a great series! It is astonishing what the characters are capable of. Kudos to all the cast for first rate acting and to the writers for a thought provoking script. Makes you wonder about your own representatives - is there a Frank Underwood currently serving in government?

House of Cards. Lets keep it short. If you enjoyed season one you should definitely enjoy season two! Season two exceeds season one for me due to the major changes for Frank Underwood as well as all the side stories and main plot. Cant wait for season three! Definitely check it out !

I'm not much on politics but this political thriller is worth owning. All the actors are great but Kevin Spacey is perfect in this roll. As each episode unfolds you find yourself being drawn in further and you can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely a must see.

Acting, writing, cinematography...literally EVERYTHING is top notch in this show. Frank Underwood makes Walter White look like a girl scout trying to bake and sell her own brand of cookies. Blu-ray collection has great behind the scenes stuff and excellent quality picture.

House of Cards Season Two builds on the intrigue of the first season, at times even surpassing it. Frank Underwood is now VP and the stakes get even greater as his ambition for the highest office in the land becomes insatiable. The series leaves you anxious for next season.

This series escaped us and we knew nothing about it until a commercial on TV got us interested. We promptly purchased the DVD's and have enjoyed watching! Intense drama, interesting story-line and keeps us coming back for more. Can't wait for season 3 to come out!

I love buying blu-rays with digital copies, especially if I can find a low price on it like I did at Best Buy on Black Friday. It's actually cheaper then getting Netflix plus I own it. House of cards is a top notch political drama. To me this is the role Kevin Spacey was born to play. Both he and Robin Wright are superb. My only complaint is a switch up in the main cast from last season, too say much more would reveal spoilers but the show always leaves me wanting more at the end of each season....

Just binged watched season 1 & couldn't wait to see more! Now 1/2 way through season 2. LOVE IT! I'm sure there are only a few of us who didn't see this YRS ago so make sure U put it on the stay @ home on a snowy day agenda.
