House of Wax, being an all time horror flick, was one of the first movies filmed in 3-D. This was the old "in your face" type 3-D where items on the screen literally jumped out at you. Great fun especially the paddle ball guy and the can-can dancer. Effects were great! Don't miss this one!

Unbelievable that this was made in the 1950s.

A classic! In the first wave of 3D in the 1950s, House of Wax was the big budget color 3D movie, and was apparently a big hit. Most of the well known 3D movies from the era, such as Creature From the Black Lagoon, were Black & White. Looked great on my LG OLED 3D tv.

I have been wanting to buy this film for years but the price was always over 30 bucks. It was on sale for halloween for 8.9 with tax it was under 10 dollars. I do not have a 3d play and was on the fence about buying this but glad that i did, it plays fine on my bluray player

Yes it's in 3D. Yes it's made in 1958. And yes it's awesome. And did I mention Vincent Price? Oh I don't need to. It's on the front cover that took up half the space!
By the way, don't watch House of Wax 2005 with Paris Hilton...No, watch it for good laugh.

While I do not yet have 3D capability for home viewing, this release also includes the 2D version of the original House of Wax (1953). Still stunning presentation of this horror classic which is one of Vincent Price's finest genre films! Highly recommended.

This film is one of the best classic horror and 3D flicks ever made, and it looks absolutely jaw-dropping in 3D bluray! As an added bonus, this edition also includes the B&W original release that came out in the 30s which this film was a remake of

I was excited to watch this as one of the early 3D films in cinema, and to have it on Blu Ray sounded wonderful! I love Vincent Price, although I never had a chance to see this film before. It's somewhat disappointing overall, but still interesting for fans of 3D or Vincent Price. There's an extensive intermission segment that shamelessly works the 3D effect. More so than the use of a yo-yo in Friday the 13th 3D. The character involved doesn't even have a genuine role in the film. That and some very sexist content and tones in the movie kind of left the movie watching experience and story feeling a bit empty. I expected a lot more from this one and probably wouldn't purchase it if I were to do it over. 3 Stars for Vincent Price and its status as an early 3D horror.

I saw this in 3D in a theatre and when Charles Bronson jumps in to help Vincent Price from the bottom of the frame, it looked as if he ran into the screen from the audience. That effect is lost in your living room, but still, it's a pretty sweet Blu-ray.

Although the movie came out in 1953 it still managed to grip me. By today's standard the sense of horror in the film is tame. However, current horror movies lack plot and just shock the viewer. This one excels in the story line.

One of my favorite horror films of all time presented in 3D for the first time in years. Vincent Price is at his best in this. For a movie of its age, this film looks fantastic and has 3D depth that rivals some current movies.

I had never seen this in 3D before , the 3D is nice, but screen size becomes smaller. 2D or 3D it's worth watching in both. One of Vincent Price best movies. I bought it on sale, I would not pay $30 for it. $20 was a good price.

I only paid $7.99 for this and it comes with a great 3D presentation as well as a 2D version of the movie. It's not one of my favorite Vincent Price movies, but I love his movies in general and I'm glad to have this one. At this price it's a steal!

Oh the joys of blu ray...another great movie restored to its former glory. If your home theatre is equipped for 3D, House of Wax with Vincent Price is a must own. Great star, great story and amazing 3D all in one fine blu ray. Highly recommended

This is the first 3D movie that was made in color by a major motion picture company and it takes full advantage of the 3D experience. If you own a 3D system, this a a must have for your collection.

HOUSE OF WAX is one of the greatest of all 3-D movies, and best is it was shot in color. The effects work great and the script is literate, plus Vincent Price is at his best. A must-have!!!!!

This was the 1st 3D film ever released by a major studio, so a bit of history goes along with this choice. Vincent Price is an actor we should all see on the screen sometime in our lives. This is the perfect movie to do that.

One of the early 3D movies that is totally worth the purchase (to get it in 3D), very well done master/scan of this film, and an excellent use of 3D (if you still have it) on a disc format.

This is one of my all time favorites! I do not even have a 3D t v. Brings back memories when saw it in the 50's in a theatre. Good reproduction. They should bring back more of the "originals"!

This movie is one of Vincent Price's best. Remember seeing it as a kid in 3d at the local movie theater. Glad to see it again in modern 3D.

It is big fun to see these nostalgic horror moments not in the normally usual red green mode and it is big fun to experience the first film in real 3D in a normal color mode.
