I purchased 2 of these scooters. A bubble/bump formed on the tire followed by a flat. I had 3 flat tires within weeks. I called the company and was told it was easier to return the scooters to the store rather than to get replacement parts. I ended up buying solid rubber tires. Changing the defective tires is doable but not easily replaced. These scooters were lightly used when the tires failed. Left me dissatisfied with theses scooters.

    Fun Scooter; Has its Quirks

As a tall adult, I'm not sure this is the best device. Certainly it's good for a child/teenager. I found the nuances of the scooter a little quirky...you have to start peddling similar to a traditional scooter before throttling and getting it going. As a larger adult (6'4", 195 lbs), it gives a light to moderate jolt when you first get it throttled and it struggles to get up hills. I gave the scooter to a neighbor kid and he flew all over the place, so again, consider your size/age when using it.

Fun, lousy quality machine & slightly annoying

Pretty obnoxious experience... I have purchased 3 of these in the past week, all from Best Buy, 1 worked fairly well and was run over and subsequently replaced by a stranger, and this one and the first one were defective to the point they only worked for a little bit. The first died 1 miles out, through an unknown’ error code of E9 and wouldn’t move, it was replaced, then the third had the female power port issue of poor connection which liked a book or certain angle to make it charge... I now go back for the fourth in 10 days... my review on the seconds performance is: underpowered for me (170lb) to go up steep inclines or even hills great flat, great average to small inclines. Long noted charging time and very sketchy rubber pads to stand and grip, poor “S” mode battery usage efficiency, poor power efficiency but somewhat true to depicted specifications. Strong on straight paths, good max speed, very inefficient power consumption@max speed..great tires, stylish powerful breaking, fair footing on dirt even though steeper trails, very annoying auto Cruze control automatic induction by simply holding the speed for more than 5 seconds while making loud beeping sound, like a wristwatch. So you know, but solid everything else, compact, they all had different clearances folding mechanisms but all worked well requiring differing energy but all seemingly strong.

I bought the hover rally first and only got about 20 minutes of riding before it died. I ended up returning that and upgraded to the Journey. My first ride after 25 minutes in it wouldnt move anymore, i would try shutting it off and turning it back on and the throttle seemed like it didnt want to work , and it was still on a full battery. was fun while it was going, but after not being able to ride it other then push it made me take away 2 stars.

    Don't buy this scooter.

I have had this scooter for less than a month. Everything is connected to the front tire which for some reason is filled with air. So if/when you inevitably get a flat you can look forward to an unbelievably frustrating experience trying to repair it. Oh, and to make it worse Best Buy can do nothing to help you and Hover-1 Support would probably be better if it didn't exist.

Everything is nice but the range

I'm a the top end of the weight limit for this (215 pounds), but the range is terrible. I tried to ride it to and from my gym, about a 6 mile round trip, and I ended up having to get on the subway on the way home, and then riding it like a kick scooter after I got off the subway for the mile home. It's a mostly flat trip. All in all, i can't recommend a scooter with such a short range. Too bad, too. If you're lighter, it might be fnie.

    Good Scooter

First scooter feels of decent quality. I brought a second without a week but it was redesign with no notice, model number stayed the same. Different charger as well. No customer service number on their website, the customer service number on their manual rings busy.

    Misleading

The max speed is 12 MPH, but it takes a ton of effort to get it above 9 MPH. Battery is terrible. It's hard to get acclimated to the scooter. Returning this thing ASAP.
