First things first: make sure EVERYONE who rides these things wears a helmet. My 9 year old daughter was riding it well the first day and then, are low speed (slow) fell off and got a concussion (wasn't wearing her helmet). Seriously. Helmet, helmet, helmet. Much better they deal with the annoyance of a properly fitted helmet then we deal with loss of life, capacity, or a $9000 ER bill. This board has been fun for our 9 year old--when it works. At first it would have green light on one side, red on the other, but after messing with calibration repeatedly it seemed to eventually work. BUT the app doesn't list the Ranger as a model it supports (not cool, Hover-1), and now the hoverboard is making a weird grinding/rubbing/resistance kind of noise which sounds creepy. It seems to work fine, but it sounds creepy. On the whole I'm not pleased with this hoverboard. Also, I shouldn't have to submit a ticket to Hover-1 for issues and questions which are probably quite common. Hover-1 should have a detailed FAQ for this specific model of hoverboard with answers to various noise and light questions, along with solutions--even if the solution is to then submit a ticket for repair. Also, it's ridiculous they list on the box that the hoverboard connects with their app, but don't list this as a supported model in the app.

Battery life is short. Other than that no issues. The product seems scratched like it’s was pre-owned. Over all not impressed.

This is not a stab at best buy by any means but this brand is absolutely terrible in quality. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my son and it never worked and out of the package it looked to be used and had scratches on it. Just not happy with this product.

Don't buy this unless you get the extended warranty! My son was only using it for a couple weeks, and the charging port came loose, and now I have to get it repaired or he can't use it! The company won't honor "Physical Damage" on its warranty, but it should be a little more durable than that, especially since I also bought the go cart attachment as well. I won't be pruchasing from the company again!

Love everything but the speed and inability to SAFELY step off when stopped. Design team needs to find a way to stabilize the unit when stepping off considering when you lift one foot off, the unit starts spinning in circles before you ever have a chance to get the other foot off causing person to be flung to the ground.

Got this hoverboard for my 12 yr old son for christmas. Battery last long, has blue tooth capability and is easy to balance and ride.

I am a 44 year old mom who bought this particular hoverboard model that held a heavier adult so I could ride with my kids. After just now taking it out the box last week i discovered that the internal battery is faulty and that I'm stuck with it because it's beyond the return date.

Got it from the store and there was an issue after a few hours of use. The product says it can hold upto 220 lbs and I’m around 140-145 lbs. The Mountain View store team is very helpful in exchanging it with a new one ( they also offered a refund if I want) . I will update the review after using it for a few more days.

Fun to ride. It took a few rides to gain confidence, but the learning curve was fairly flat.
