This hoverboard has plenty of power and is well built. Out of the box, you charge it up and pair it up to the app to control the lights see battery level and the odometer. I like that you can see the battery level on it and easily determine how far your ride is going to go. This board has more than enough power to cover a good sized neighborhood with battery easily left over. In fact, I would be concerned about kids going too far. :) I do wish that it had built in tracking that could tell you where it was last paired up to the app so you could track it down if the kids took it out and left it at a friends. The lights are pretty cool and the bluetooth speaker works very well. Charge time is relatively fast, only taking an hour or so to top off after using it for a ride around the neighborhood. The kids love it and I have to admit that now having tried it adults can too for a quick ride down the street to the gas station for drinks and a snack. It's surprisingly sturdy and stable and is not nearly as jerky or weird to ride as I thought it might be. In all, a pretty amazing piece of technology that seems to work exactly as advertised. I'd highly recommend trying one!

I got this hoverboard for my younger sister and she absolutely loved it. My sister nor I have ridden one so there was a bit of a learning curve in learning how to ride one. Luckily, learning how to ride the hoverboard was unbelievably easy! Setup was also easy and all that was required was to charge the device. This hoverboard is meant for any age as long as you’re under the weight limit of 220lbs. Anyone would find this enjoyable to ride. How long the battery will last will depend on many factors but overall, I felt the battery didn’t last as long as I thought it would have. There is also an app available that allows one to play around with the RGB lighting, check battery level, speed, adjust the learning mode, and more. The hoverboard can also pair with your phone to play music while you are cruising! With all these features and at this price point, this is an excellent choice for someone who wants a beginner hoverboard.

I am not the most sports oriented person as my balance is awful to say the least. In these times of Covid I have been looking for ideas to keep me occupied and get out as much as possible. I decided that this Hover board would be a good start. It just seemed fun if I can only balance on it. I really like the lights and the bluetooth speaker. Although I opted not to play the music too loud as it might disturb others. It is quite loud, and at night the flashing lights are quite fun, but also helps make you visible. Setting up and pairing was easy and went without hitch. Charging took awhile so I put off my riding debut till the next day. But once charged it lasted awhile and the ride seems fairly quick. The unit seems sturdy and quite fast. The music and flashing light added to the fun of use. I am still shaky on it, and not used to the balancing and steering etc. I think it will take some practice although I envy my friends who can just jump on and ride. So far I find it fun to play. Controls are easy, and my 14yo nephew rides it like an old pro. I understand there is a 'buggy' option which gives a go cart type attachment. I think I will invest in that.

I have been dying to try one of these hover boards for awhile now as I know my son has really been wanting one and they're a fun outdoor activity. The Hover-1 Ranger is a good option if you want one that's not too intense and good for younger kids as the speed isn't quite nearly as high as others. The box includes the hover board and charger. Once you get it, simply charge it up and the light will indicate when it is charged and ready to go. I will say it's quite a big bulkier than I had imagined it would be but it provides a solid base to stand on. This thing definitely takes some practice to maneuver but it's generally easy once you've messed around with it for a bit. If your child is using it, I would definitely recommend a helmet and elbow/knee pads to prevent scrapes and bruises. Overall, it's really fun to take outside and ride on! My son has enjoyed it so far.

The Hover-1 Ranger is a great hoverboard to have. The unit comes with a charger, an instruction manual, and a nifty card to download the app Via QR code. I charged it up and connected it to my phone. It was fairly easy to learn but I fell off a couple of times. The range is great and so is the speed. This is made for someone my size. I’m 6 ft, 215 lbs. The lights are customizable from the app so that’s a great feature. I however couldn’t connect to the app the QR code provided because it wasn’t supported. That was okay since I didn’t really care for it but since it’s part of the device, it bummed me out a bit. Unfortunately the speakers aren’t 100% but you’re the only one listening or those within ear range. Great for children I’d say. It’s very simple and fun. I really enjoyed this.

Bought 2, one for each kid. Neither go further than 2 miles. Neither can reach 100% charging. Even after 24 hours. Returning them for electric scooters.

When it works, it works well. I did have to do the balance reset as the manual described. That worked. Out of the box, it would just spin in circles. Like others described, the charging port fell out and I had to break the seal to repair it. The nut is too small on the threads. The LED never displays battery charge and it does not warn the rider of low battery. I have only seen the low battery warning work 1 time. I have seen my kid get tossed to the floor, getting hurt many, many times. It will show the battery as good, but just stop and toss the kid to the floor. Seems like the battery goes from 50% to 20% in about 5min, then requires a long charge time to get it to full charge. Even full charge only seems to last about 10min or rolling around on the carpet. I got this free from work and am so glad that I did not spend a dime on this product. If I would have known what trash this hoverboard was, I would have never got it for the poor kid. I did not have any issues with the app and the lights are semi decent. Build construction is very good. While it holds a charge, it runs well. Just be prepared to get tossed to the floor over and over.

I'm so glad I was able to choose this Hoverboard to test out. It came a little after Christmas as an extra gift for my foster sons (on of which already has a Hoverboard); so this came at the perfect time so now they both have Hoverboards. Me being the "I'll Try Anything Once," foster dad, I was challenged by them to try my hand at riding this thing. Mind you I've never been on a Hoverboard before. This Hoverboard is an absolute blast. Getting used to balancing myself on it was a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually a ton of fun. Though there were those few times where I about broke my neck. Inside the box along with the Hoverboard comes a charging adapter (which it's recommended to fully charge before using), an Operation Manual, and a Quick Start Guide. Setup is straightforward and quicky and easy. You can also download the HOVER-1 app to your iPhone or Android device by visiting the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. The app is awesome for those "Beginners," like myself. You can also connect to the Bluetooth Speaker built within the Hoverboard and jam to some of your favorite tunes while cruising around. Overall, this is an amazing product and I'm glad now both my boys have one and can cruise around in the garage now that it's cold out.

Arrived with most screws all broken and rattling inside

I’m new to the hoverboard scene and was excited to use the Hover-1 as my introduction to this type of transportation. I was struck with how light the board was (around 15lbs) which is easy enough to carry with me. As being my first time using this, it took a short time to understand the balancing act and how to operate it. Within a few short practices, I was going about 7 mph around the parking lot of our complex. I felt safe going over small bumps and cracks on the ground and learning how to lean and turn. What is really exciting is that it can connect to your phone via Bluetooth so you can listen to music on the go. I like this set up instead of using earbuds while riding because you would be able to hear to your environment and be more aware. The speaker itself was nice and clear even with outside noises. The speed is listed to 15mph max speed, but felt no need to go that fast. Highly recommend this for teenagers (to the disappointment to my 11 and 12 year olds! Due to the speed factor. One note, the instruction manual showing where the charging port is incorrect.

I remember trying to get on to one of these about 7 years ago. It wasn't good. My confidence wasn't there yet and the board zipped around much for me to trust it. This is entirely different. Riding this still takes a bit of practice but it feels a lot safer than the earlier first models from yesteryear. Hover 1 seems to have done it right. The boards other features are very cool albeit a bit unnecessary. Lights are great and a speaker is too but I would trade them both for a bigger battery and more range. The range is about 6 miles of flat sidewalk at about 10mph and that's about as fast as I would want to go on one of these. Build quality is sturdy and I could see this lasting until the battery charge life is depleted somewhere around 500 charge cycles. You'll definitely get your money's worth in rides!

The Hover-1 - Ranger Electric Self-Balancing Scooter is a great addition to the hoverboard market. My kids and I were already familiar with riding hoverboards and didn’t need the downloadable app to help us learn but found that the app has some other handy features such as the ability to customize the lighting and monitor things like speed, distance, and remaining battery life. One of the other cool features is the built-in Bluetooth speaker which allows you to play music from your phone while cruising around. The ride itself is relatively nice and smooth and my kids agree that it looks very stylish too. Overall, the Hover-1 - Ranger Electric Self-Balancing Scooter is a great hoverboard and I highly recommend it!

My daughter, who just turned 13, was so happy. In less than an hour she was very comfortable riding it. She was a bit insecure at first but soon realized it self-balanced. I’d rather not mention here how long it took for me to feel safe, but it is. If you’ve never used a similar hover, you will feel insecure like she…well, ok, like I did, but you will quickly notice that it’s a lot more stable and safer than non-powered ones. Six-mile range is not a lot. If you use it in a steep area or if you are on the heavy side, that range can be halved. Still, you can play for about an hour or so non-stop before having to recharge it. In our experience, it lasted about an hour and 45 minutes the first time, counting breaks. I believe that range is the only downside of the Hover 1 Ranger Scooter but after a few days, it feels like it lasts longer. That may be mainly because I stopped playing as much and let it mostly for my daughter to enjoy it. The RGB light effects are fun, and you can control them with the app that you can download on your phone. I would just advise to not let your kids use the app while riding the rover. That would be an invitation for disaster like having to replace a phone that fell and broke into pieces, or worse such as a getting hefty hospital bill and an injured child. Not that this is necessarily a dangerous toy, but you get the picture. If you want a longer range, go with an upgrade model instead. Otherwise, your kid or kids will still have a lot of fun with this one. Just let them play and don’t forget that there is a weight limit, which if exceeded can not only increase the chances of breaking it but also decreasing the range.

I never thought I would have a lot a fun with a device like this, the unboxing is simple, inside the box you can find the hoover-1, the charger and user guide, once the device was charged I tried for the first time this and I can say that learning how to ride this device, is easier than I thought, in the first 10 min I was able to stand straight and balanced, the next 15-20 min I could ride a few feet, I think its about practice and getting use to it. The performance is good, it feels smooth when you're riding and moving around, the battery last between 1:40hrs up to 2 it depends but I think is enough considering the size and the speed you can reach which is 7mph, the device is a little heavy so I recommend using it where there is some place to charge it in case is needed, in summary I think is a pretty interesting device easy to use and you can have fun even if you're not a kid, I can highly recommend it.
